I think TASTIC should make a thread entitled "Apologies to Me?"

Kerrsed, you beat me to it.
Not to start anything but this was the whole point behind the reaction to that other thread - we still have no idea who Lopez is, do we? He's still very inconsistent and until he settles down in terms of performance all we can do is hope for the best and watch for signs.
I have no idea what was with him today - he just seemed lost out there. I do like that he's bulked up a bit more. He's got a good, solid frame and some muscle on it. That will really help.
Overall we looked pretty disinterested but very sharp in spots. Disappointing that we let the Raps back in though - that's a bad habit I was hoping we'd outgrow this year.
Really impressed by how hard JRich is working. I was wrong about the guy.

here's a question: what's the difference between JJohnson and JRich?

J Johnson has better basketball IQ and overall a better offensive arsenal. J Rich has the three and the post up game but his mid range game is really non existent, he's better on the fast break offense though because of his insane hops and speed. I guess all those are very obvious things but I really have not seen much of JJ since he left to Atlanta.

I happen to like the way the Suns are able to balance Nash/Amare in the PnR and the way they can now get an honest-to-god post iso out of someone on the team. I think that Richardson's lack of a mid-range game is 100% irrelevant given that he can play inside and play outside.

You want mid-range? Give the ball to Nash or Amare. You want post or 3s? Richardson. Specialization FTW, man, it's what made the Industrial Revolution work, and it applies to basketball just as well.

He has a spot gauranteed on Basketbawful tomorrow :-?

I mean:

Six minutes is a fair amount of floor time.

Zero points (on zero tries).
Four turnovers.
Two personal fouls.

Seems miraculous his +/- was only -1.

--- I only saw Joe at the end of his time in PHX and only a couple games since. My impression was that he's a better defender and more of a one-on-one, create his own shot guy than JRich.
JR, though, has shown himself to be a determined defensive player when asked, and as tsherkin points out, equally dangerous in the post of outside.
My question was more in the vein of - at the price, is JR giving us what we lost in JJ?

My answer would be, probably 80% of what we lost in JJ. Which is to say, I actually think JRich semi-fills the JoeJ role and peoples' incessant complaining about JRich sort of overlooks the fact that he actually fits into our system quite nicely. I would still take JoeJ over JRich any day, though. BBall IQ would be a big factor there.
