Re: Ongoing FFDL Discussion Thread
I think I will tank next week against you Coady.
My team sucks in TO and percentages, traditionally the most winnable categories for a team without the names.
So I am really staring down the barrel of 9-0.

I've got AlciG coming up; the matchup we've all been waiting for.
Can't believe Jordan and Brian would be in the playoffs if the season ended today. Madness!
Believe it Bucko! My biggest heist of the season...making you all believe my team sucked!
of course...sans Louis Williams, who was playing like a top 10 guy, I'm not going to make any headway on positions 1-3 for the next 8 weeks, but look out Coady, I'm coming for you!

Re: Ongoing FFDL Discussion Thread
Not an impressive win but a win none the less. We got a little sloppy at the end and it cost us. I'm still not sure how we go 6-3 and slip a spot in the standings. If we could just get healthy we can run with any team in the league.
BWW, I was unable to find any evidence that BWW owes Stanford another pick.

We can find evidence of the existence of Australopithecus because, while the odds are low, fossilization can occur under the right conditions. Unfortunately, internet threads don't have an endoskeleton.
I just wish this issue wasn't brought up after the website I pointed out was wiped clean. It pisses me the **** off to no end.

When would this trade have occurred?

Yeah, let's wait until I'm in the playoffs, then we can go overboard.
It's not like I've had a very easy schedule. Sure, Skai's pretty much on the rebuild at this point, but I've already faced YOU, haven't I?

Re: Ongoing FFDL Discussion Thread
Coady traded Blake a pick in 2007 as part of one of those blockbuster deals (Dirk/CP3). Blake took Horford with the #3 and Brandan Wright with the #7. I think at least one of those picks were traded by Coady. Coady also got the #9 pick in the draft (eventually trading up) and it is likely that this pick could potentially have been Blake's (given Blake finished 5th the year before).
Coady also got a 2008 pick courtesy of Blake, which landed #13. Coady flipped that, along with #11 and Nate Robinson for WB's 1st in the 2009 draft.
EDIT - Blake actually confirms these two parts.
You can fill in the gaps after this.
My way of thinking is that how did Coady get Dirk and CP3 and 3 first rounders, given the (relative) junk of a roster he had back when he started?

To be fair, everytime you've mentioned the alleged trade over the last year I've protested.

He didn't. I only traded 2 first rounders to Coady, as I've maintained all along.
I think the confusion lies in that Coady had asked for a second first rounder in one of the deals, but I refused that request. I don't doubt Coady remembers it differently, but I've said from the get go that there was no third first rounder.
In reference to the trades, I believe Paul was traded for Boozer, Ridnour and Pachulia (yech!), and Nowitzki was traded for Williams and two first rounders. I flipped Williams and one of the picks (Horford) to WB for Josh Smith and Marcus Camby. I still have Wright (the second pick).
In case anyone still cares, I traded Boozer to WB for Artest, straight up (who I just traded back to WB for Chandler and Battier), and I traded Ridnour and Pachulia for some package, I think, that consisted of KMart, Szczerbiak, and a couple of others I've since dropped.

That rings a bell (Dirk for Deron+3+7). Did Coady get anything else?
Trying to piece things together now.
- The trade occurred in late June of 2007.
- Apparently the trade was posted by Blake and Coady initially didn't accept :S

If the trade occurred in June of '07 it could not have included a 2010 pick. I think Standford may be confusing his trade with BWW with his ripping me off for two picks in the Young/Thornton deal but both those picks have been fulfilled.

Re: Ongoing FFDL Discussion Thread
Yep! Your team scares me more than anyone elses. Plus, I kind of have to make up for the loss of the best fantasy player in the league. Don't be fooled though, I'm only streaming two players, not three. I streamed in Willie Green, only to find that I didn't have a guard spot open.
I want to go undefeated this year.

Speaking of streaming, how about WB having more than twice as many add/drops as the next closest person. I'd also like to further rub the Lou Williams injury in your face WB, looks like he'll be playing a lot less when he comes back, probably putting him back in that top 75-100 group.
Oh, and The Invincibles are back and healthy again folks. We weathered the storm with some key injuries and the Iverson situation. Kudos to Carlos Boozer and Mo Williams who've lifted us up lately.

Why would Lou Williams play less when he comes back?

Re: Ongoing FFDL Discussion Thread
I guess he's assuming Iverson is returning, in which case he'd be correct. AI's not coming back to come off the bench, and an Iverson-Lou back court would be a disaster.

You know, I should stream...thanks for the idea. Fact is, most of my add drops have been a result of sheer fickleness. For example, I added Ridnour and dropped Jason Williams...both were playing the next day.
Oh, and rub that injury in my face all you want...if AI can't get off the bench in Detroit or Memphis, why would he get off the bench to replace an ubertalented up and coming guard like Louis Williams in Philly? Larry Brown and that loud mouth Pat Croce aren't there anymore.
