Celtics opponents thus far - mostly weak teams.

Post#1 » by Wolves2011 » Tue Dec 1, 2009 6:56 am

Celtics have beat 3 teams with winning records and lost to 3 teams with winning records. [4 out of those 6 games were at home.] They have played 11 teams with losing records.

The total wins and losses of the teams the Celtics have beat
79 wins
140 losses

The Celtics have gone through an easy part of their schedule.
[10 out of 17 also at home.]

trying to remain neutral on this board in regards to certain topics is becoming increasingly difficult. these threads need to stop.

can only beat who you play, only half the teams in the league have winning records.

Why?

I'm just presenting factual information. You would rather hide your head in the sand. What I've shown above doesn't mean the Celtics are destined to lose. But they have played an easy part of their schedule. To pretend otherwise is foolish.

Maybe with KG getting healthier and teammates - wallace, williams, daniels - becoming used to each other the Celtics will play increasingly better.

The Celtics currently have the 4th best record in the NBA. I wanted to see if that record was "solid". So I looked at their opponents. What I've found is above. Maybe other top teams have had a similarly weak schedule. I didn't look at that.

But the Celtics record is a "little" tainted in my eyes because of the weakness in the schedule.

Also keep that in mind when people quote you offensive or defensive efficiency numbers, or margin of victory. All of those are affected by quality of opponents. Thats why the Celtics are ranked 6th in most power rankings. Thats not championship caliber!!

The Celtics have given up 110 or more points three times so far this season ... after doing so just six times in ALL of 08-09 This isn't the same team as pre-KG injury.

They could get better, but the record is fooling people somewhat.

Wolves,

We have some pretty bright guys on this board, and your posts reflect your own considerable intellect and writing skills. We all already know that we have a "weak" 13-4 record, and only the Truth is playing like an All Star/All Pro in most of our games.

Just chilax, and let it play out. We play 6 of next 7 on the road in the next 2 weeks (I will be in the second row behind the Wiz bench on 12/10 in a green Celtic sweatshirt). Then in late December-early Jan, we play 8 of 10 on the road. Again, let's see where we end up in mid-Jan. If our problems with lack of consistent intense D continues, Danny will make a move.

Just chilax.

Ex
SamIam 2010: Truth's ability to play so incredibly efficiently is so UNDERAPPRECIATED. Bballcool 2012: Amazing how great Pierce has been for so long. Continues to defy age! KG 2013: P is original Celtic. Wherever he goes, we go. This is The Truth's house.

He needs to go back to the T-wolves board and help out that horrific squad with his fantastic insights.

If you guys actually want him to leave, then just stop responding to his posts all together. Even posts like those encourage an attention whore to post more. If he gets ignored, he'll drive himself to get waived or leave.

As I've said before please don't compare me to whores. It needlessly gives them a bad name.
