Alright, not too controversial with this group I don't think (at least I didn't put Allen Iverson on there ... I seriously considered it). We'll try and rile more people up with our Lions, Tigers and Red Wings picks, which will be coming out the rest of the month.

•Historically, from what I can remember, the Pistons are horrible in Sunday afternoon games. To have this game be the one that snaps the streak is big.

•I’m surprised the Pistons aren’t doing worse, considering 95% of their team is injured in some way or another.

Finally!
Prior to Sunday, the last seven games were tough times for avid Pistons fans. Honestly, we were almost halfway to catching up with the Nets. But the drought ended Sunday afternoon, and that deserves a post.

•Charlie broke his nose – story of the month for Detroit. Can’t wait to see if he sports a Rip mask better than Bill Laimbeer.

•Not enough can be said about Big Ben. He’s still a sellout in my mind, but the tenacity he’s showing at his age is incredible. Without his 11 offensive rebounds, the outcome of this game would be a different story.

•The Mad Swede continues to dominate with his temporary starting position. This guy is producing more than Tayshaun used to at this point. The more Jerebko continues to improve, the more open I become to Tay getting traded away.

•Josh Smith had five blocks, a couple above his average. Watching him swat shots is a thing of beauty.

•Chucky got a starting spot, but didn’t do much with the time, going 1-7 and finishing with 2 points. Why did we give away Arron Afflalo again?

Game Notes: Hawks at Pistons
This is why when the Atlanta Hawks came to town on November 29, 2009 for the team’s eighth home game, there were only 15,273 fans in attendance. This is a problem when the building has a capacity of 22,076! Just to remind you, this was the same franchise that recorded the League’s highest home attendance from 2002-2008.

Despite their lack of fans in the arena, would it still be possible for them to put on a show for the ones who did show up?

Despite his valiant effort, this would not be enough to stop the focused Pistons team who clicked on all cylinders. With an obvious motivation to end their seven-game losing streak, the Pistons got help from everyone including Rodney Stuckey who led the way with 23 points and 8 assists. Stuckey was complemented with the play of stout Will Bynum who chipped-in 19 points and 4 assists on 8-13 shooting. Big Ben Wallace also grabbed 18 boards and scored 10 points.

Nets GM Kiki Vandeweghe reportedly will coach, too
Nets general manager Kiki Vandeweghe is set to become the team's coach for the rest of the season. He doesn't have to worry about being on the bench for a potential record-setting loss, though.

Vandeweghe won't coach his first game with the team until Friday, a person with knowledge of the team's plans told The Associated Press on Monday. Tom Barrise, who led the team Sunday night after Lawrence Frank was fired, will coach again Wednesday against Dallas, when the Nets can set an NBA record with an 18th straight loss to begin a season.

Del Harris will join the Nets as Vandeweghe's assistant.

Nothing decided after 76ers meet with Iverson
Allen Iverson and the 76ers are in talks for a surprising sequel.

Iverson and top Philadelphia officials met to discuss a possible return to the team, a scenario once thought impossible after their acrimonious split three years ago. Team president Ed Stefanski said in a statement that both parties remain noncommittal about a final decision after a nearly two-hour meeting.
