Not that the Saints game didn't matter, it's just the Pats of all teams know that this game really wasn't important in the grand scheme of things.
I mean, Pats know they can not improve their chances of home field throughout the AFC anymore, so why act like this game with the Saints had emphasis on anything at all. Also, Saints going unbeaten would actually help the Pats not be so infamous if the Saints go 16-0 and then end up getting knocked out far short of the Super Bowl by the NFC wildcard right away.

I don't think it's the Pats MO to "win when it matters." I've seen them play too many bad teams all the way through till the 4th quarter, and lose the big games to colts and saints and broncos and jets. But keep on with the optimism.

Vikings/Pats Super Bowl. GUARANTEED!
The road may be long and full of twists and turns, but in the end only the Vikings and Pats have the transportation needed to stay on course.
