After signing our "BIG FREE AGENT" who do we want to spend the mid-level exception on?

Guys I'd consider for MLE (Top Bench Players with some experience):

Camby
Louis Scola
Travis Outlaw
Brad Miller
Mike Miller
Randy Foye

BTW, basti, Have you seen the list of "Golden Ball Soccer"?

1 Messi (spanish league)
2 C.Ronaldo (spanish league)
3 Xabi (spanish league)
4 Iniesta (spanish league)
5 Etoo (discard of spanish league)
6 Kaka (spanish league)
7 Ibrahimovic (spanish league)

Where are the Premier's players?

Three of those players wouldn't be in the spanish league if Real Madrid and FC Barcelona wouldn't be going nuts.

They may have the best players now that they threw away millions of Euros but their league isn't as deep as the Premier League.

You don't get cap space and the MLE.

tvwolves7 :

- Without salary cap, Lakers+Boston win 32/62
- With salary cap, Lakers+Boston win 10/24, with six championships of Michael Jordan's Bulls, a unique phenomenon.

I can't see a lot of difference ... I think NBA it's a unbalanced competition like the european soccer leagues, with or without salary cap. The big franchises has the same advantage in NBA than in european soccer.

How about the same question framed differently.

Assuming we have enough cap space for 2 players....

1) star

2) $5 million type of player.....who would you want to spend $5 million on?

Guys I'd consider...want experience, since we have a young team...and fill in holes in out team...

Yeah, but we don't need to import russians capos or arabian sheikhs. We only work with national nuts.

- I agree, the Liga is the best league and the Premier the deepest.

Rip is a bit too old, would not be worth it to have him around when the young guys start to get good.

1. Rip Hamilton signed an extension last year just before the Billups trade. He's paid way too much and is too old for what the Wolves would be looking for, although his skillset is optimal.

2. You don't get cap space and MLE. Every team gets the MLE, but you have to give up your right to use the MLE if you want to use cap space. So for a team with $6mil or more in cap space, they give up the MLE.

thanks... I always thought that you could use all your cap space & the MLE... :o

IMO Drogba is better than Etoo, way better... The same goes with Gerrard being better than Xavi & Iniesta... Messi deserved his award, but Etoo, Xavi & Iniesta are far too high, they're great players, but not top 5 IMO...
