#4's chances at the Pro Bowl

Post#1 » by MartyConlonOnTheRun » Thu Nov 1, 2007 9:31 pm

Not saying he should, but what do you think our his chances. At the beginning of the season I would have said no way he was one of the top 6 Qbs in the league. *(NFC rank)
Completions: 181 (second)
Completion %: 66.1 (t-third)
Yards: 2,046 (first)
TD: 11 (T-third)
40+: 7 (T-First)
Rating: 92.5 (fifth)

So you have to consider that those numbers were inflated by some great games. So it comes down to do you think he will keep it up?

at the halfway mark I would say Romo, Favre, and if they take a 3rd qb .....Kitna perhaps.

Favre, Romo and probably Manning if the Giants keep it up. I doubt they will; they've been playing the little sisters of the poor on their win streak.

*if the Packers and Favre continue to win (and Favre continues to play as well as he has thus far), I think you may need to realistically change this poll to co-MVP with Brady. I know Brady will put up astronomical numbers, but Favre's impact on a less-talented team as well as the windfall he'd get for being on the outs of his career could carry him into a tie...

that's far down the road, but at this point, I'd be shocked if he weren't in the current MVP discussion, much less a pro bowl candidate

My guess is your NFL league MVP will be settled this Sunday with the Brady vs. Manning winner...the next level would be Favre/Romo.

MVP has to be Brady even if he has a silly amount of weapons and a great line. His numbers on the year are video game like.

As for Favre, he's a near Pro Bowl lock and a near lock not to show up.

Favre usually skips the pro bowl if he gets in as an alternate. I don't remember him ever skipping the pro bowl when he got voted in legit though.

Favre, Romo, Kitna, Garcia

My top 4.
