Ugh...the Niners just lost to ATLANTA...

There's a good chance that you could have a top 3 pick :banghead:

They'll try hard to trade down, and if they can't they'll go BPA at any position other than QB and DL. That's what they always seem to do. As for specific guys I like if they keep the pick, I'd say the safety out of Miami, Phillips.

Didn't we lose this pick? Never mind that was our first round pick that got taken away. Knowing how the NLF likes to screw us Goodel will probably give us our pick back and take this one away if its in the top 10

Darren McFadden, please. He doesn't really fit a need at all, but I hope we don't pass on a talent like him. We'll look nearly as bad as the 5 teams that passed on Adrian Peterson because they had a RB who didn't suck.

theyll try REALLY hard to trade down, they hate paying someone unproven nearly as much as their top players. it would really make letting branch go look silly unless the guy is definitely lights out... but as always they wont decide until the proper moment. if theres any team that wants to give two lower firsts for it, they almost certainly make that deal

St. Louis wins! If only Miami would win a game or two.

McFadden is so hot and cold. I think if he's still there though and we hold the pick a team that needs him really bad would pay HUGE for him. That could be interesting.

Here's what I posted to the OT thread on the main board, and will elaborate on:

I would personally at least consider drafting someone like Colt Brennan. I know we don't need a QB. But Belichick can find defensive steals later in the draft I am sure, and we are already strong at every position, and there are a number of really solid QBs in this draft. Right now if Brady were to go down with injury, thats like the only thing that could possibly stop us. Nothing against Cassel, but a stronger back-up QB would be a nice insurance policy to have IMO (and if we went that rout we'd probably be able to trade Cassel for a future pick, too, perhaps.

I would also consider an offensive lineman, because your O-line can never be too strong, and that would help Cassel if Brady went down as well. Though #5 seems to high for that.

Adrian Peterson btw, his last one or two college seasons, he was frequently injured, rarely at full strength it seemed (his injury yesterday didn't come out of nowhere). I also don't recall him dominating in the NCAA like he has done thus far in the NFL. I believe McFadden has been a bit more impressive, but I can only judge that stuff so well.

Also, in general, I might be willing to take a look at some of the guys on Kansas' undefeated team. From what I've seen and read of that team, they kinda remind me of the 01-02 Pats in a way, not as much firepower as other teams persay, but they play great D, are always focused, and don't make mistakes.

And, btw, tough to root against the 9ers tonight only cause Mike Nolan's father died yesterday and Nolan is coaching anyway. The pick should be high regardless.

That game went well. I was down by 16 in FFB and I had Seattle's defense going which got me 23 points. Hell ya.

San Fran is so close to being winless. Arizona had like 3 guys miss recovering the fumble that would have clinched a victory again San Frans in the season opener. Then they barely beat a previously winless rams. I am pretty excited for that pick. It will make losing our own pick a lot easier.

its probably the farthest thing from reality, but wouldnt it be great if bill traded the pick down for a couple, one of which being the 32nd pick in the draft?? the complete eff-you to goodell
