I would take a 23 yr old Corey Maggette on this team any day.

For $11 million/year?

For a 23 yr old Corey Maggette, yes.

Fair enough. Agree to disagree.

Hey, Memphis vs Minny tonight. Watch carefully how Gay does, and I'll see if I think Flynn and Gomes are worth trading him (j/k).

I'd sign Rudy Gay to a 5/50mil contract, but not a dollar more. And I wouldn't trade anything of value to get him. If 5/50mil isn't enough to sign him in free agency, then I'm fine with spending my dollars elsewhere. Maybe Ryan Gomes and a 2nd round pick, that's about it.

Preferably a backloaded contract as well, hopefully leaving us with a couple more bucks to bring in a second mid-level type of free agent.

$8,108,775
$8,960,196
$9,901,017
$10,940,624
$12,089,388
=$50,000,000 over 5 years.

Leaves us with a little over $5mil for a second free agent, right? Find a veteran big man on a short contract, and I'd be happy.

I mentioned somewhere something about Hollins and Gomes to Portland for Przybilla if Portland was looking to cut salary, not sure if they are. I'm sure Wolves fans would have some interest in that as Joel P brings a ton to the table as a veteran center. So myabe sign Gay as an RFA and trade for Przybilla?

C - Jefferson/Przybilla
PF - Love/
SF - Gay/Brewer
SG - Turner/Ellington
PG - Flynn/Sessions/(RUBIO)

Then we still have Utah and Charlotte's picks to grab another backup big and hopefully another shooter. Maybe Stanley Robinson as an AK47 type, and Xavier Henry as a dangerous marksman with good size. Both are currently projected in that 13-19 range.
