The other reason to blow up the team is to try and get some value from trading Wallace etc.
They aren't going to win anything with them now, so lets try and trade them for potential.

Do you not understand how the salary cap works and that's why you don't get why certain players on the team shouldn't be traded this year or that we shouldn't acquire guys like Brand?

We won't have 11M next season and we certainly won't be signing anyone significant with the cast we have if and when we actually do have some cash.

Building through the draft is the best way. Always has been. You just have to limit your mistakes and hope for some luck. The bad part about this for us is our front office has shown to be incompetent in all departments. Trades, drafts etc...however imo going through the draft is the only way we will get an all-star type player here anytime soon.

So people think the team is worth blowing up but we should only be getting superstars or incredible young talent or lottery picks back in return in trades? Stop being fanboys people. This team hardly has any talent on it at all. The management has been a disaster - squandering our assets to collect a group of mediocre players. If your team is mediocre you are at best only going to get mediocre talent back.

Stop with this "lets blow up the team but 'that trades (Please Use More Appropriate Word)' and we should be trying to get Chris Paul or Kevin Durant".

I kinda like this trade as a "blow the team up" trade:

Miami would NEVER make such a trade. Too much committed payroll to players who have been HORRIBLE for us this season.

If turns out that we still suck bigtime, what about Diaw, Diop for Lee, Curry or Diaw, Diop for Curry, Jeffries.
We get an extra assets for 2011 FA market or we could trade away expirings for decent contracts.

Haha.. I can't stand knicks. I like Bobcats and Bobcats is my fav team. Anyway, to reason that up is to get away of Diop's delusional contract, which run through many years around 7 mil tag.

Diaw has been non-factor in our 4 win streak:
11/22 Ind
W 104-88 37 8-13 1-1 0-0 0 0 0 3 2 5 7 4 17
11/25 Tor
W 116-81 20 2-6 1-2 0-0 0 0 0 2 1 1 2 1 5
11/27 Cle
W 94-87 19 1-4 0-0 0-0 1 0 1 5 0 3 3 0 2
11/28 @Was
W 92-76 34 3-12 1-3 0-0 0 0 0 1 0 3 3 6 7
12/1 Bos
L 108-90 25 5-10 2-3 1-1 0 0 1 2 0 2 2 1 13

So, our assist leader has 12 assists, 17 rebounds, 2 TO's, 1 STL, 0 BLK, 45-19 shooting.
As much as he has done for us, he is nowhere near constant scorer, low post threat. Look how he was thrown around while playing against KG.

Dunno. We could use Diaw to bait one real low post scorer and rebounder. We can't expect Wallace to rebound on that high level.

I disagree I mean we've won 4 out of our last 5!

That Boston game was ugly (random tangent) but it must have been Okafor that kept us in it against Boston we were really good against them last year I went to the double ot game in the garden and he was beastly the trade really sucks in hindsight but were probably a playoff caliber team still given Captain Jack the rookies and Nazr Mohammed.

I was looking at Okafor's player page on ESPN and ...

"News: Okafor dropped 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting on Tuesday, but the Bobcats fell to the Hornets 110-99."

He should still be a Bobcat. :(
Humble yourself.

I heard Okafor likes to eat Chicken Gumbo before each game. Bet you didn't see that on Okafor's ESPN page. :noway:

April 17, 2009: In a season-closing interview, Bobcats coach Larry Brown says he wants Okafor to love basketball more. “I always tease that he has an ‘A' in stretching. Pilates and yoga. I'd like him to have an ‘A' in basketball,” Brown says.

time to move on...

Battery Okafor might not be the best but Chandlers basically Samuel Dalembert with maybe less rebounding. Okafor can get the ball on the block back down his man and get a basket Chandler not so much.

maybe LB saw how awesome nazr was playing over the summer and said, we dont need okafor now that we have super-nazr. nazr is better offensively than okafor ever was... and chandler can hold down the fort when we need some defense. the two-headed center is great.
