1. Boyk the MVP!!! He carried us down the stretch, hit great shots and dished out some nice passes for Wood... Great Game

2. Wood, he owns Bogut... Nuff said...

3. Arenas, for slowly getting out of his funk...

HM: 7 Day Dray... Played within himself on both O and D... Played amazing D against Bogut... Nick Young also gets a HM... Great all around game.. This is the Nick I wanted to see at the start of the season...

Good team effort. I'll vote for Nick tonight, but it could go to pretty much everyone who played meaningful minutes.

Looking at the whole game, here are my top-3...

1. Brendan Haywood - Played dominant defense against Bogut, chipped in with efficient scoring and controlled the rebounds.

2. Gilbert Arenas - Didn't score very efficiently, but got his points, dished out a game-high 9 assists and made some timely plays.

3. Earl Boykins - Sentimentally, he was #1. He literally carried us in the 4th quarter and was about as clutch as they come. If he played like that for more than 1 quarter, he'd probably be the POTG.

Honorable Mention....

Nick Young - Solid game. Efficient scoring and nice rebounding. The 5 turnovers kept him out of the top-3.

Andray Blatche - Not many minutes but a good overall game. He hit a few big shots and always seemed to be in the right place at the right time (which is not a coincidence - he moves without the ball really well). Played some good D on Bogut too.

1.Boink - sealed the game.
2.Haywood - crushed Bogut
3.Young - efficient scoring, if a few too many silly TO's.

Boykins was terrific down the stretch, but he was pretty lousy in the 2nd quarter. I don't think I can give it to him based on 10 minutes of good play. I think it comes down to Haywood or Young. Haywood held Bogut to 28% shooting while pulling down 14 boards in 34 minutes. Young had the best shooting numbers and I don't think all those turnovers were his fault. He caught a few passes in traffic and had no where to go.

1. Haywood
2. Young
3. Boykins

anytime Gil has a better than 2 to 1 assist to turnover ratio and 8+ assist, he'll get my vote. Earl was the 4th quarter BOMB though!!

Having not watched the game yet, and just looking at the start.

1- Team
2- Team
3- Team

Nice to see so many thing.

Haywood with 14 boards
Nick starting and playing efficient
Gil working his way into assists and points
Boykins giving us some solid PG
Dray playing efficient off the bench
CB playing with in himself.
AJ not needed to over shoot while still getting 9 boards

EDITED..

Ok after watching the game...

1- Gil - He played so efficient. I really like the way he worked off the Haywood high pick.
2- Boykins - He really knows what the do with the ball in crunch time. I think he is helping Gil
3- Haywood. He brought the hammer and outplayed their center

Honorable mentions
Nick Young. Our younger better version of Larry Hughes
Blatche - 7 day was a solid 5 for 5 and took over the game for a short spell.
CB even took over for a short while. Sweet behind the back pass for the dunk
AJ is the only one not mentioned. Hard to believe mentioning him last. Mostly that based on he did was you expected him to do while others are going along.

is the psychology of being in a contract year enough to make someone better? can wood sustain this for the rest of the season much less the rest of his career? man, my mancrush on brenda grows by the day.

I don't think this is a contract year fluke. He played exactly like this in 2007/08. EJ was just too stupid to recognize it. I think he would have played like this last year too, if healthy.

went with Haywood, tough call but he was the one guy
who really didn't have a negative case to be made
against him. And his late dunk was a key score
for us.

again, I loved our balance tonight. At one pt in the
3rd quarter we had 4 starters all with 15 +/- ~ 2 pts

who do you load up on when we have those 4 going?

Hope you guys don't mind but I had an 'outsider' vote. I voted for Boykins simply because when clutch buckets were needed he stood up, and he spent a lot of the night making our very good rookie look stupid on defense (including on that last play) by walking around him and either scoring himself or setting up others.

He got my vote just ahead of Haywood who did an excellent containment job on Bogut who looked to have the second game back blues after injury but has been red hot of late - he also rebounded the ball well.

Nice game, good fun with the game threads, good luck on the season and I look forward to our next meeting.

Haywood.
Boinking.
Nick.

I'm giving the nod to Haywood despite the 4th q heroics from the mighty sparrow. Bogut was coming off injury but Haywood frustrated him into a 4-14 night. Contributing to 1/3 of the teams total boards (14 boards) even adding a couple steals, he notched the game high +10 +/- (wait, now that I look, Luke Imyourfathernour had +11). Still per usual without his contribution Bonky's 4thq heroics mean nothing. If we had Boikins last year but no Haywood we still win only maybe 20 some-odd games. Easy to overlook his steady contribution but it's just too key.

Loved Nick Young's efficient scoring, if you overlook the turnovers. Way to carry the slack on a night when our frontline scorers were weary from the back to back. He's even mixing in a few rebounds now, and essentially played SF at some points in the game.

Too close for comfort, but again, first you win then you get good.

Haywood was good, but this would've been another loss without Mr. Boykins. Good to see Young get 21 points on only 12 shots.
