Ron-Ron Beginning to Crack

Post#1 » by JohnVancouver » Wed Dec 2, 2009 6:21 pm

I'm assuming there's some sort of pool for when the inevitable happens? If so, sooner rather than later, is my guess.

From Sporting news: Ron Artest admits to drinking alcohol at halftime of games during his time with the Chicago Bulls.

"I used to drink Hennessy … at halftime," Artest says in the interview. "I (kept it) in my locker. I'd just walk to the liquor store (near the stadium) and get it."

Five years later, Artest still is interested in fighting Ben Wallace.

"I see Ben, I'm on my guard now. I'm always in the mood to fight him. … I'll get suspended 10 games, 15 games (because) I'll just fight him right there. It won't go into the stands."

Artest also plans on becoming a professional boxer when his NBA career is over.

"I started training two years ago," he says. "In four years, I'm going to try to have my first fight."

Eh, sounds like he's talking about the past. Of course, we can always hope he's still drinking

Um, I'm pretty sure he just released a public threat to the media about Ben Wallace.

You can DEFINITELY get arrested for that...

What a thug

It's when the person says something that isn't grammatically correct or is inappropriate...maybe "I had dat sH#* in my locker".

I just can't imagine what he would say that you couldn't print like, "N*gga I kept dat sh*t in my locker"

That would be like

[...] I kept (that) in my locker.

That's my take - I don't want him to just go buggy, I want him to go spectacularly, take-everyone-on-the team-with-him nuts.

Man you seem desperate for something to happen on the Lakers...........hoping it drags the whole team down huh? This stuff Ron is talking is old news, knowing the Laker organization like I do they'll ask about it but it'll be a moot point from here on out.

Thanks Miklo, I've always wondered about that as well.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the article and when he went on Kimmel wearing "shorts." But I don't think they will implode, even if I hope for them to. They have a coach who knew how to handle Jordan, Kobe, Shaq and RODMAN and as much of a headcase Artest may be, he's not on Rodman's level. I also think Artest is a very good team mate even though he seems too crazy to relate with on a human level and despite all the off-court distractions, I don't think he brings it in the locker room.

My journalism editor from back in high school would be proud

Then again, she'd be proud about just about anything writing related, since she didn't trust my reporting so she made me the business manager

Why beat them when you can only do it from a handout? Beat them straight up.............if your boys are all that they should be able to do it.

It's a straight up cop out to only want to beat a team that's depleted..............that's WEAK.

Oh please Laker boy

The thread is making fun of Artest because he's a friggin nutcase. Try arguing aganist that part? I thought so.

Nobody ever said "the Lakers are so stupid for signing him" or for that matter "we are better than the Lakers" or hell, nobody even said "this is the only way we could beat the lakers"

JohnVancouver is the LAST person to start something with another team - he posts articles that he thinks us Suns fans would enjoy - and who doesn't enjoy Ron Ron making a death threat against Big Ben?

Just let us discuss current events - we don't troll your boards looking for opportunities to say "oh, you could only beat us if this and this.."

Peace out

Dude did you even see the last Laker/Sun game thread? There were plenty of your fans there talking smack.............which is cool by me, made for one fun game. Anyway I wasn't trying to lump a whole fan base because of one mans opinion or statement. My response wasn't to JV but to BurningHeat who makes the assumption that he want's to Lakers to implode so the Suns can succeed.

See you boys on Sunday.

It was a game thread. Us Suns and Lakers have quite a rivalry going on. There are smack talkers trolling on each others' boards around all gametimes. I have never personally visited the Lakers board - sort of knowing that if I can't say anything nice, I shouldn't say anything at all. It's a little more difficult to take that approach when fans of other teams butt in to our random conversations.
