OT: Take a second to help STOP the genocide in Darfur!

Hey guys, if some of you are unaware, there has been a genocide taking place in Darfur (a region in Sudan, Africa). Since 2003, approximately 400,00 people have died, and another 2.5 million are homeless due to their homes being destroyed. The country is ridden with murder, slavery, and religious persecution. Please take a second to join my facebook group in an attempt to spread awareness of this human atrocity, and hopefully brig it to an end!!

Thanks man, I appreciate it. Once we get a considerable amount of people I plan to write letters to our elected officials locally, and nationally, in an attempt to get our Govt. to get off their asses and help the people of Sudan, and all of Africa for that matter. Again, I appreciate the support, let's see how big of an impact we can make!

As you probably already know, the movement has been going on for years. Our govt is doing ish about it, not now, not ever. There's no incentive for them and besides they're too busy conducting their own quasi-genocide.

The situation is tragic and of a magnitude comparable to few others in history, but don't waste your efforts trying to get our govt to listen. Focus on gathering public support or the very least drawing attention to it.

Anytime brah, being part Armenian and losing my grandfather in the Armenian genocide I know what these poor people are going through looking back on my own history of people.

The situation in Africa is just terrible. Tracy McGrady did a movie about it a while back and much props to him for living in Darfur for a week so he could get the cameras in there and picture their living conditions for the rest of the world to see.

There is an organization which is supposed to stop these kinds of things called the United Nations Organization and its worth as much as a limp-d!ck. So as much public attention this gets the better and I hope someone somehow will do something of worth to stop it.

Its reading about genocides like this that makes me question the existence of a God everyday. How can one man do this to another is beyond our understanding and belief.

Who give a hoot brah if this is a basketball board or not, we are talking about human beings getting murdered, dying everyday from diseases, hunger and lack of every dam thing in this world that me and you seem to have but they dont.

You dont think humanity innocent people dying is more important than basketball. Come on brah. Human dignity these days has gone down the ish hole. We as human being have moral, ethical obligation as human beings to help people and do what we can to help others, and if the O.P feels that he can come on here and post something that can help someone in any way he can then Im all for it.

If you dont care or you feel that this isnt necessery or it shouldnt be posted on here then glide right over the thread brah and dont post and let the mods deal with it brah. Im sure they would've delt with it already if they felt it didnt belong here.

We are blessed with a lot of things in life living here in the US that we take for granted so when it comes to others we simply look away or claim this doesnt belong here or I dont care about it as long as it doesnt effect my life, thats why this world is so jacked up because everybody is out for themselves and its all about me me me.

Come on brah. Im cool with this staying here and like I said Im supporting this and in fact since I posted this link on my facebook I have had 7 people jump on this cause. Wether or not something good comes out of this I dont know but I know I supported it as well some of my friends.
