Much Love To The Rockets. Read My Story.
Contrary to what other people will have you believe - claiming I am a troll banned from countless different forums for countless number of years in the past - I am here to let you know that I have and will bring 100% loyalty, respect, and great knowledge about Houston Rockets basketball.
Unfortunately I am denied a name-change until July 2010. Sunsman44 will turn into Rocketman44 in July. See here for reason: viewtopic.php?f=40&t=860923&start=585
In the meantime, do understand I will be posting here as a ROCKETS fan. I am and have always been a Rocket follower since Barkley 2006 era - while also rooting for Suns in conjunction.
I've had a falling apart with Suns and will never again return to the Phx Suns forum as the people there wish me ill.
I will be all Rockets true at heart (instead of joint Suns + Rockets in the past) and my future discussions with you guys here will show I bring to the table nothing but engaging dialog, respect to other posters, respect to fellow Rocket fans, and objective viewpoints that don't involve senseless "trade" threads.
You will be getting a lot of bashing messages in this thread from other Suns fans reading this, but don't let my history do the talking. Embrace the future as I will embrace all of you here in Rockets forum.

What kind of atrocities did you commit on the Suns board? We welcome converts with open arms but this sounds kind of suspect. Are you funny? Can you drink?

As a bonus,
I have 2 NBA strength trainer friends who work and live in Las Vegas, NV - where some Suns players usually train during off-season, especially before camp.
These guys are good contacts and good friends - therefore - once a year I can sometimes bring in juicy news (but often not juicy) about player progressions, wheeling, and dealings.
I'm not sure if any Rockets players train out there in Las Vegas during the offseason, but do remember my buddy working with Vassilis Spanoulis and Scott Padgett back in 2006 in Vegas. Not much news from that, however...
Anyways. I'm here as a Rockets fan. Thanks.

This is a very important question. Think long and hard about it before you answer.
Basically, to be a true Rockets fan you must accept the following things:
1) Hope
2) Accepting Disappointment with grace
3) heavy drinking - it's a coping mechanism and key component to our drinking games

1. If it is something suspect and fishy, you can Ban me.
2. Do I drink? No.
3. Am I funny? What kind of funny are we talking about. Like Jeff Van Gundy wild comb-over hair while under the leg of NBA players during a brawl funny? Yes.

No sister. But if you really want pictures of hot naked girls, I know a lot of websites.
Didn't know this forum was filled with naked girl and alcohol enthusiasts. Hehehe
Although I gotta say ----> Samuel Adams Winter Lager is fantastic.

Thanks, appreciate it.
Yeah noticed Suns forum is very active compared to this. Hopefully it picks up after this team picks up some more steam.
I actually wanna see how T-Mac is holding up. Some say he is a detriment, but I gotta see this guy on the court with the current guys. I think he can and will definitely help.

Re: Much Love To The Rockets. Read My Story.
As someone who is really not into defamation of character I will say that at times Sunsman acted very condescending to other board members. He would make posts with lists and bolded font, with language like "you people don't get it..etc etc etc".
I would give him a chance to see what he does here. We did some research and he's been banned from 4 different websites, including RealGM back in 2007. But who knows, the whole Rockets bandwagon fan thing could open a new chapter for him.
I personally had no problem with Sunsman for quite a while, until he started disrespecting posters left and right, and making threads talking about how terrible the Suns are, how Amar'e is an MLE player worth not more than $3 mil and then started talking about how the Suns are a lottery team etc. Some of that may be true, but it was obvious this bandwagon fan had jumped off the bandwagon.
Sunsman, you wouldn't have to come in here and tell people "don't listen to anyone else because they'll tell you this and that" (which, how did you imagine strangers would react to that
) had you not gone out in a blaze of glory over on the Suns page, calling people names and acting like a child.
But again, I've seen posters act like all of the above before and then something turns them "good". He does show some understanding and passion for b-ball. Hell, he's tried this hard to get back into forums he's banned from, showing that part of him really does want to be a constructive board member.
All in all, I'm coming in here to basically show you what Suns fans might say about him, but to tell you it's not worth using that as a judgement - he can prove soon enough if he has turned over a new leaf.

Sunsman, and only himself, will tell the best story about his character on these boards. Everyone comes with a clean slate in my book b/c everyone has done dumb things in the past. Just don't be stupid and the peeps on these boards won't bother you. Great to have you aboard.

Exactly. While he fell out with some on the Suns site, let me speak for the Suns fans when I say that we give everyone that chance too. And Sunsman, should he ever choose to post constructively on the Suns page, in my book is welcome to do so.
Someone came on our board when he first joined and warned us not to listen to him cause he was banned from this or that - but we ignored that and he was around for a good amount of time. Frustrations mount sometimes on that board and people act differently when provoked, so it would not be fair nor would it be accurate to predict how someone may act in a different environment.
So Sunsman, thank you for what you did contribute and we are not all a bunch of d-bags, sometimes everyone just needs to step back and take a deep breath and maybe a chill pill. And here's to hoping some of the more recent comments you made about the Suns don't come true

Whew. I thought he murdered somebody on the Suns board.
Thanks for the insight.

Whatever happened to that Jazz fan that started rooting for us when the Jazz got eliminated in the playoffs?

Wow this is easily the most interesting thread since... well... I'm not sure, but its interesting though. I say let bygones be bygones. I don't drink either, so maybe we'll be the designated posters when the Rockets lose. But do keep in mind. I never knew why they treated me like a left handed, red-headed step child until now. I've been persecuted because of my reservations about alcohol. Bunch of drunks. Obama promised me change.

He got waived for going beyond the border in the mainboard in the playoff games last season.
