I'd love Noah but I don't think Chicago wants to give him up.

ESPN: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/p ... yerId=1014

Okur's Career rebounding average: 7.1
Okur's rebound AVG. this year: 5.8

And he is averaging the same minutes as he has his entire career - 29.5

This infers that he has lost a step, as his averages are down across the board, sans 3pt shooting, which is up.

5.8 != 5

And that's through 13 games this year, and he's been hurt/sick in some of those. It may be that his rebounding numbers will be down this year, but I don't think you can make that conclusion after just 13 games.

Or maybe that Boozer has been healthy this year so far and averaging more rebounds. Boozer has been allowed to guard the other team's low post player and plays closer to the basket. Paul Milsap getting more minutes. Memo averaging less minutes per game. AK is averaging more reb and minutes per game. Brewer is averaging more per game as well.

Jazz are still 8th in rebounding differential and third in allowing rebounds to other teams (#1 in the last 10 games).

Opportunities for rebounding may have gone down for him.

At any rate, we need a guy who can play defense. Okur is a possibility, but it is remote at-best, as I think the Jazz FO would ask more than we'd be willing to pay. Basically Okur would provide the same things Troy Murphy can provide, but Indiana isn't asking for very much for him....so I think if it came down to Murphy and Okur, that we'd trade for Murphy.

You can take Pryzbilla off the market (not sure he was on it)... Oden is out for the year now.
