Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Boston Celtics
Tough game.
Boston is 8-1 on the road and are a veteran team, OKC is going to bring the A game for this one or it will not end well.
Boston's a good team on the boards with decent size, much like Houston, let's hope it's not a similar outcome.
On the bright side this is the second of a back to back for Boston after a tough win against San Antonio.

Is this switching Westbrook off of Rondo by design? It's asking for trouble..

Re: Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Boston Celtics
Russell Westbrook has a very bad tendency to go for fruitless offensive rebounds.. he just goes up against Kevin Garnett to grab the rebound, I mean what are the odds that he gets that one? So he falls to the ground and the Celtics have #'s in transition and Pierce hits a wide open three.
This game ain't lookin' good so far.

James Harden seems to miss a lot of free throws.

Westbrook pisses me off so much. I admit he does a lot of good things like penetrate rebound and is very athletic and has good advanced statistics to back him up. But I cannot stand his immaturity, his lack of effort on D, and his lack of BBall IQ. Kid is 21 years old so ill give him some time, but its going to be a painful ride for me until he gets it, if ever.
We can make the playoffs yearly if he never gets it, but we will never win a Championship if he doesn't learn how to control the flow of the game, and make sound smart decisions with the ball.

Yeah, I hear you. For a PG, he seems to take way too many quick and inefficient shots. But that will surely get better as he matures, also when James Harden grows into a bigger role and takes the ball out of Westbrook's hands a little.
Tough game for your team as a whole, but I was thrilled to see KD do so well. You guys have a great core that most teams will be jealous of down the line. I've said it before but I think your team needs a defensive presence down low and you will really take off after that.

Back to back bad nights by Westbrook, (15 assists does not excuse a 1 for 10 FG%). I love him but consistency and shot selection are definite works in progress.
If you do not know how good a basketball player Gary Payton was just go and stand near him for a little while, there's a good chance he'll come over and tell you. - Ahmad Rashad

Re: Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Boston Celtics
I'm kind of surprised that no one has mentioned the play of Serge Ibaka in the first half. He had a tremendous block, a nice quick turn around jumper and was in the right place at the right time for a dunk. He's doing a lot of things right, and he seems to grow every game. He has put together a few extended sequences in a couple of games where he is making plays on both ends of the court back to back.
I seriously think next season Serge will be the starting PF for the Thunder. Obviously the kid is still growing but he is the defensive post presence this team needs. He simply needs to mature.
Kind of like how Durant went from a chucker to super effiecent in one season. When the Sonics drafted Serge the first thing I thought of was that he was a safty valvle for the Jeff Green experiment at the PF.
I still think Jeff Green was the "best player available" with the 5th pick. And honestly I'd hate to see him go but he has really struggled this year at the 4. The guy doesn't even try to play the 4. I'd like to see him transition to the 6th man role.
Just wanted to repeat something I said before the draft I think Serge has a shot to be the best rookie on this team.
Harden has looked good but he isn't tearing it up. Serge has an opportunity to grow into exactly what this team needs a guy who can rebound, block shots, and even hit a jumper.
Maybe someone who is more statistically gifted could run both Hardens and Ibaka's stats based on per 36min? And then we can compare them after another 20 games.
