Rumored that Al Harrington could be on the move. We'll see cuz usually teams sit players on the move. 'Antoni hates Nate too so we may not see him either so that could potentially be two of their most prolific scorers gone. Al should continue his Chris Bosh treatment on David Lee.

Knicks arent a fan of playing defense, so if Joe can play like he did against Toronto this game should be put away in the 3rd quarter. I expect him to continue that play considering that we almost hung a 150 burger on the Craptors
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

I don't know how soon the Hawks will pull away, as long as they do at the end. That would be nice is they did so the starters can rest for big D.

This is my biggest problem with the Hawks offense. You are playing a horrible defensive team and Joe's shot is off...yet he's still jacking up 3s despite being ice cold. They have no shot blockers...drive to the basket dammit.

Our defense is a joke. Seriously, this is disgraceful. Down 13 at home to the Knicks? Show some damn heart.

Waved his hand for a foul after a basket(1st tech) then kept jawing...although it was probably not enough to warrant a 2nd tech. His back was actually turned away from the ref when he got ejected.

Thanks. Let's hope we show some sort of signs of defense and hustle without him.

Why does it seem like 90 percent of the Hawks bad defensive performances at home in the last 2 years come against bad teams?

Just wanted to chime in that Josh's excessive complaining is as selfish as anything we've seen from Joe this year. We are absolutely missing his defensive presence in the 4th and complaining to the point you are run puts too much pressure on your teammates. I admit our offensive is sucking, but lack of stops is killing us as well. Not happy with Woodson's coaching in this one as he allows certain teams to dictate what he does and who he plays (NY is one of those teams). However, if we lose this one is on Josh if (which is looking likely) we lose.

I expected a letdown soon but I thought it would be to NJ...not NY. Lazy defense+bad rotations in the 2nd quarter+Smith acting childish lost the game.

I usually don't like the "we proved we aren't/are a contender" after any particular game but this very disappointing. It reminds me of that game vs Jersey early last year where they completely mailed it in but atleast that team had 2 all-star caliber players. It was bound to catch up to them soon though..the Hawks just play with a "just show up " type intensity on defense in these type of games.

Zaza and Bibby in particular had bad games. Smith picked the worst possible matchup to get ejected in....the 2nd quarter lineup when we had Evams,Joe Smith and Zaza in got destroyed.

i've said this for 3 years now, Josh Smith is the Hawks most important or valuable player. it was just a lay up fest for the Knicks. for those who wanted to trade Smith the last 4 years because you could not see his huge impact, it is just sad.

I just realized that 4 of the teams we lost to suck.

I knew that the Knicks would let the Hawks back in, that's the way they play. But the Hawks didn't want it enough, Pick n roll layup, fake pick n roll wide open layup, repeat and rinse. The Hawks had no clue and look terrible against pick n roll dominated teams. I'm really not looking to playing the Suns or Jazz anytime soon. PS, Josh and the temper tantrums are annoying, that part of his mental hasn't changed. Matter of fact it's at a all-time high, i'm surprised that he hasn't been thrown out of more games. He is really demonstrative with the refs, it's extremely noticeable to the point of :o

Something was strange in the air anyway, the Nets won.

i think that even if the Hawks "wanted it"..... they still couldn't stop the wide open layups.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
