I don't think Lee is worth a high ceiling player like DeRozan although you never know Toronto could get desperate if they don't start winning. With CDR's development at Lee's position it wouldn't be turrible to trade him for a pick in the deep '10 draft.

I disagree with the 5th option, I think that on a good team with a few stars, not exactly a 5th option, but just a role player, somebody who can hit the open jumper, spread the floor, and play D. While he might not be Kobe, he isnt just the 5th starter either.

I do have a question, what are you guys looking for player wise. and would you be interested in James Johnson.

He's also just a sophomore. He might just be a 5th option for the rest of his career. Or he might turn into a two way player that can score 20 ppg on any night. Give him time. Let him get back into basketball shape, get healthy, and get some time on the floor with Devin and Brook. If he's still not performing, hate all you want.

He may be a 'sophomore' but he will also be 25 in a few months. I'm a C Lee fan but for the most part you are what you are in the NBA by the time you hit your mid 20's.

That'd be true if you were already a veteran, Courtney is a 2nd year player who completely changed systems after his first year. He's been injured. Devin hasn't lit anything up this year but no one's calling him a 3rd option. Just like Devin's adjusting to not having Carter, CLee is adjusting to not being on a team with 4 all stars. Devin's way more proven than CLee but to not give the kid a chance is insane.

What we are learning is that Courtney Lee is having difficulty adjusting to an offense where, in most cases, he has to create his own shot. This team lacks a true #1 scorer. Brook is still young and though I want him taking 12-15 shots a game, he's not a #1 scoring option yet, though we would all love for that to be. Until this team gets a #1 scoring option, a lot of guys will struggle in the same respect Courtney is.

Either way, we have nothing to lose right now so I am fine allowing our young guys to work through their struggles on the court.

definitely...see the issue here is to start with was some of our fans over-estimating how good or where C. Lee is at this point in his career...he would always be more productive with an Orlando type team where everyone can score (opens up his game/shots/drives and its just easier to score/play offense...)
Lee has a long way to go, I never like him, felt he was overhyped coming to jersey and knew he would have a difficult time becoming or being the 3rd optino on this team...and he'll continue to have a difficult time being the 4th option here until he really settles in...I agree with a lot of the disappointments, but lets give him some more time...

Thing is, Devin HArris should be a 3rd option. 1st option in the sense he is the point guard and he orchestrates the offense, but scoring wise, he should be the 3rd or even 4th option, even if he is a score 1st point guard.

CLee might have just won it with the two free throws and the followup steal! About time the guy loaded up on the PT!

I hope this game shuts some haters up. He might not be an all-star but he's a very good player to have. I hope you guys grow to like Lee like we did in Orlando.

The old coach was using him wrong. He needs to come off screens play at a fast tempo.

I agree...he still is not 1st or second scoring option...not yet at least (thats being nice)...and I'm not interested in crystal ball talk...
