A better outside shooter? Sure. Spencer will be easily the better over all player very soon.

Maybe, but if Frye keeps this up, he should be a top 3 candidate for MIP.

I didn't expect to win, and although we had a chance to win (close game in the last 5 mins), I was a little disappointed by our fast break 3 defense. But, when they're making those, what can you do? Nash would just dribble...dribble...dribble...shoot, 3...ugh

Yeah, there were a lot of positives to take from this game. I'm not happy with some of the decisions Westphal made near the end. We didn't need to go small, and that zone was the main reason they went off from 3 in the last couple of minutes.

Hats off to the sun. Nash was Nash, and they are a very difficult team to guard. There were definitely things we could have done better, but this game ultimately came down to the fact that we didn't shoot the 3 quite as well (largely because of the quality of 3's we got), and we didn't get to the line as much, or make a good percentage of our FT's.

Must be true, if it's a rumor you read on Hoopshype.

That was a genuinely good game. You guys just need an all-star caliber 4 or 5 and you're all set for the next 10 years...

Kings didn't play as well as they could have, but this game was more of the Suns taking it than the Kings giving it away. Reke just continues to impose his will on the game, but I felt he took too long in the fourth to take command.

Hawes has a soft touch but nothing's going in. He needs to bank shots off the glass better. Thompson on the other hand just doesn't have great touch around the rim. Every jump hook, shot, layup is like a fastball to the rim.

Those refs EFFING SUCKED tonight. Amare got away with MURDER on the court and JT/HAWES couldn't get a call.

Ended up missing the game, my DVR didn't tape it. But it sounds like they played tough, and it took alot from the Suns to beat us. Thats not bad at all IMO. Throw Martin in this game and who knows, we might have won.

That just happened.

Unfortunately, Nash was just unguardable towards the end, which led to our demise, but I was very pleased with the effort, and these kind of games will turn into W's soon. It's just a matter of experience at this point.

This game is to me a perfect example why all of you "trade Martin now" people out there are completely NUTS! With Martin in this game either living at the line or hitting several more threes and being a THREAT from the outside, I think this is a W.

Couldn't agree more. I think his absence has helped some guys develop some, but when he comes back, he knows he doesn't have to carry the team every night, which should help him and the team be better.

 You have absolutely no way of knowing that. He might just choke it all away at the end of the game like he usually does, you just don't know.

I say we kick Martin down to 3rd option behind Evans and Thompson. Less chances for him to get injured and more chances for him to be extremely efficient.

That would theoretically be fine if JT were a viable second option, but he's not. Kevin really is.

I don't know if this was brought up or not, but is Westphal moving Beno to the bench as a preparation for when Martin comes back or is it injury?

i just hope that one day, one day this team will have another defender besides tyreke to stop dribble penetration... this is killing us, and basically what makes JT so foul-prone...

At first it was because of injury, but then he kept doing it.

I don't totally know, though. I think your idea may be right, and it might be that he wants to get Tyreke acclimated to being a full-time PG, or that he wants to create that match-up problem for the other team.
