Here's his full line.

.366/.434/.731/1.165/8 HR's/17 RBI's/11 BB's/9 K's/3 SB's/3 CS

He made another error but it wasn't a throwing error.

I believe it was Midranger that guaranteed Braun would never amount to anything because of a hitch in his swing. That looks like a good prediction so far.

Gallardo hit a home run the other day as well and his batting average is ok thus far too. I wonder if that is luck up to this point or if he can really swing the bat.

Gallardo went 1 for 2 with a rbi and a walk in Spring Training so I think he can actually swing the bat nicely. In '06, he went 8-21 with 4 rbi and 1 walk in AA.

I've heard he can also walk on water. Don't quote me on that though.

Where do people like Lorenzo Cain, Tony Gwynn Jr., Cole Gillespie, Hernan Iribarren, Alcides Escobar and all of them fit in?? I just wonder sometimes.

i think that in a few years maybe 2 or 3 our Rotation and Lineup should look like this:

1B: Prince Fielder
2B: Rickie Weeks
3B: Ryan Braun
SS: JJ Hardy
LF: Lorenzo Cain
CF: Bill Hall
RF: Corey Hart
C: Angel Solome

Ben Sheets
Yovani Gallardo
Will Inman
Chris Capuano
Jeff Suppan

I mean where does Bush, Villanueva, Sarfate, Jackson, Jeffress and all of them fit in.

im tellin ya we may have too many good prospects!! lol

You can never have too many good prospects....especially when you can package some of them up for a big time major league talent,

Another month of watching Graffy & Counsell bat an average of .224 @ the hot corner will have me pulling my hair out.

You'd think that in a platoon Graffy would hit lefties well and Counsell would hit righties, but both are hitting the same handed pitchers better than the opposite.

Hopefully Braun continues to mash and progress on D so he can come up and have a Miguel Cabrera rookie year type effect on our team.

Each loss puts major pressure on the Brewers and Doug Melvin to call up Braun. But barring a major losing streak it will probably be a couple months before we see these guys called up.

Yup and the longer they can delay Braun accumulating MLB service days the longer they can delay him being eligible for arbitration and free agency.

Right. Its more of a financial decison than anything. Because if the decision was based on play he would have been up from day one.

They've both been like that their whole careers. That's why I couldn't understand platooning them.

As long as we keep winning it doesn't look like we're going to see Braun up anytime soon.

From jsonline
No need to rush

When teams do much better than many expect, their fans run out of things to worry about. With the Brewers off to a first-place start, the focus of some of their followers shifted to: When are they going to bring up third base prospect Ryan Braun?

General manager Doug Melvin smiles at such questions, because the Brewers certainly have struggled without Braun, haven't they? The Brewers' first-round draft pick in 2005 has been tearing it up at Class AAA Nashville, to no one's surprise, but Melvin is in no rush to change the chemistry of his team.

The third-base platoon of Tony Graffanino and Craig Counsell has made only a small impact offensively, but they're making all the plays on defense and providing veteran leadership. The way Melvin sees it, somebody will have to get injured or the team will have to go south dramatically for Braun to get the call.

"It would probably be more of a need (to call him up)," Melvin said. "There's always some uncertainty to what he'll do. He has been playing better defense down there (two errors in 26 games), which is good. But he adds to our depth to be there."

Braun entered play Saturday batting .366 with eight homers, 17 RBI, a .434 on-base percentage and .731 slugging percentage. Apparently, he'll have many more opportunities to pad those numbers.

i just don't know what the brewers are trying to prove by not bringing up braun. The problem in spring trainging was his defense and he only has 2 Errors and neither were throwing errors. Couselino are hitting below a .240 average only have 1 HR and they aren't doing a good job. Not to mentio they have 4 Errors combined!!!

Braun is hitting .370 and he has 13 Doubles!! not to mention 8 HRs. It is just a no brainer to bring him up, i believe that he is the next A-Rod.

Managment's excuse is well if we bring him up and he struggles who's going to replace him?? Well just keep Graf and Counsell in as a backup role which they are most suited for. I believe bringing up braun can make our lineup deadly from 1-8. They can still provide that veteran leadership and get some starts and playing time... just doesn't make sense to have such poor offensive production at 3rd and when they have a young stud in the minors they do'nt call him up!! PATHETIC!!

Calling a guy arod before he has even played MLB action is just crazy.

Whos to say this guy in his rookie year will do any better then graff is doing? I personally don;t think he will. I would rather some experience at third base.

Graff is hitting .232 with a .316 OBP and a robust .275 SLG. He has one extra base hit all year. I'm shocked you don't think Braun could do better than that. Maybe you just don't realize how bad Counsellino has been.

Our 3B position is easily one of the bottom 3 in all of baseball. 3B is usually a source of power and run production yet our 3B should never hit higher than 8th.
