If Gilreath doesn't cut back, he's probably in the endzone, but great job coming back for the ball.

Re: Wisconsin @ Hawaii
I was going to the basement so I didn't completely hear, but did Todd McShay seriously just say Texas should play in the National Championship game because they beat nine teams from a BCS conference and TCU beat only two? Of course they did, they play in a BCS conference while TCU doesn't, dumbass!
Here's how I see it. They've both beaten two teams that are currently ranked. Texas beat Oklahoma State and Nebraska by a combined score of 54-26. TCU beat Utah and BYU by a combined score of 93-35. Advantage TCU.
Then you have Virginia, Clemson, Texas State, SMU, Air Force, Colorado State, UNLV, San Diego State, Wyoming and New Mexico. Not a great schedule for TCU, but they did go on the road and beat Clemson, which is a pretty good win.
Texas then played Louisiana-Monroe, Wyoming, Texas Tech, UTEP, Colorado, Oklahoma, Missouri, UCF, Baylor, Kansas and Texas A&M. The Texas A&M win was impressive and maybe even the UCF win, but does anything about the rest of those wins scream wow to anyone?
Fact is, this is all about where you're ranked at the beginning of the season. Texas came into the season ranked 2nd and TCU came in ranked 17th. Texas, to their credit did nothing to lose their ranking but it's almost impossible for a team ranked around 15th to go undefeated with multiple undefeated teams and jump the other undefeated teams.
College football badly needs a playoff.

Re: Wisconsin @ Hawaii
Okay John, you probably shouldn't jump from behind the line into a bunch of dudes when there's three yards to go.

Re: Wisconsin @ Hawaii
I have only seen bits and parts of the game so far (I'll watch the full thing tomorrow), but what has to be the most noteworthy thing so far I would think is what we've done to their offense. Yes, Hawai'i isn't what they were 3 or 4 years ago, but they have the third best passing attack in the country...and we have our secondary! But we've held them to 3 total points. Very good stuff, and encouraging. And if we do match up with Auburn as expected in the Outback Bowl, that'll come in handy if we can keep it up. They're a big-play passing offense (and Ben Tate on the ground of course).

Re: Wisconsin @ Hawaii
They play Boise State and Fresno State every year - same conference - then whoever is on their OOC schedule. Don't know who they played OOC this year. So the answer is sorta wishy-washy. They don't play a BCS conference-type schedule, but being in a conference with those two makes their schedule better than some others.
Their offense is usually high-octane regardless. Haven't followed them too close this year but I assume they still pass the ball all over the place. I know they lost their starting QB early in the year, and IIRC he was off to a pretty hot start (like most Hawai'i QBs).
I heart Ball. Montee Ball that is.

Very glad to see Sherer score. No matter how he did as our QB, he's a great person and it's nice to see him find the endzone in his final regular season game.

Re: Wisconsin @ Hawaii
Hawaii's non conference schedule this year was Central Arkansas, Washington State, UNLV, Navy and Wisconsin.
