NW Division outlook: Oden done for season

Post#1 » by StocktonShorts » Sun Dec 6, 2009 6:29 am

Oden's likely gone for the season. I feel bad for him (and for Portland, too)... but it means the Jazz should have a slightly easier time securing a higher playoff seed.

Thoughts?

His career is over, no doubt.

Sucks for him but I could care less for Portland. I doubt they were feeling all sorry for us last season when everyone got hurt. Boo-hoo, should've taken Durant.

Hey, at least Oden didn't stay four years in college and come out in 2010, if ya know what I'm sayin.

Wish Oden the best of luck...very terrible to see a young player with his kind of luck. I honestly hope he has a solid career because you can count his "next big thing" status officially over.

This isn't going to help us, we still can't beat the worst of teams on the road.......

They have a solid roster... Pryzbylla is a better defensive center than all our C united.

That's karma if you ask me for what they did with Millsap over the summer. I feel bad for Oden, since he seems to be a cool guy, but the Blazers can suck a fat one for all I care. I figure they will win about 5 or 6 less because of that.

I do wish we could get a guy like Pryz though, I think he is outstanding.

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

Karma?

Anyways this is a freak accident. Not a recurring soft tissue knee type accident but a broken bone.

I agree its sad. Never like to see a guy get injured, even if it may help us.

Terrible for Oden and the Trailblazers...hate to see him go down when he started showing some real promise. Hope he can recover physically and mentally; the kid is so hard on himself I hope this doesn't ruin him.

I hated watching Portland just because of how depressed Oden always seemed. I can't imagine how he is feeling now.
