Damn. Improbable fumble that the NO coach pounces on and calls a timeout.

Doesn't matter ... he'll be gone soon enough. Thank god! Can't stand the loser mentality of this ballclub and it starts with the coach and works it's way down.

Recap of why I'm sure God doesn't like the Skins:

Punt hits Redskin player in the back.

Interception turns into a strip for touchdown. (NEVER seen that happen)

Up 7 with less than 2 minutes, the Redskins apparently have game won, but field goal kicker misses a 10 yarder. Worst kick ever.

Skins receiver gets upended, fumbles, and the team can't snap the ball soon enough.

New Orleans gets the timeout and wins the reversal of the call on the field with much less than conclusive (but IMO a good call) evidence.

New Orleans grinds it out and are about to get a touchdown.

WS the only two things they did that I didn't like today were to start running the ball to get the FG at the end, instead of having a hot Campbell throw for the fourth TD. The other was to get real conservative with the defense.

Honestly, IMO the team played well until the damn kicker blew it, WS.

This one's not on Zorn.

Also, NO hasn't lost yet for a reason.

3 winnable games lost in a row ... it's exactly that "play not to lose" mentality that infects everyone. Zorn is the main culprit in my book. Can't look at this game in a vacuum either.

This team would be completely worthless without Mr. BINGO calling the plays.

WS, in the make your own luck category, I do have to admit that week after week this team finds a way to lose winnable games.

That's the sad part. A guy who wasn't even in football until a month or so ago is the only reason why we're even competitive. At least it's looking like Davis and Thomas are keepers.

that fumble call was complete effin bs. sure it was a fumble but the g d ref right next to sellers blew the effing play dead causing sellers to not even go after the ball. that really pisses me off. it should never have been overturned because the sideline ref was blowing his whistle and pointing down at the ground at the time of the fumble. replay is great in general but how can they overturn a play in which the refs on the field blew the whistle (and therefore the play was dead) before recovery.
Until Grunfeld goes there is no rebuild.

You know. You do make your own luck. It was our own fault that Barnes got hit with the ball. It was our own fault that Moore lost the ball. It was our own fault that Sellers lost the fumble. Those were all our own fault.

Suisham missing the field goal was definitely his own fault. I've supported the guy even through last years leagues worst FG%, but the games against Dallas and NO now have made me wish for an actual kicker. Is it the pressure of important kicks that gets to him? I don't know - but thats just kinda unacceptable.

The two booth reviews (Moore being down by contact on INT and Sellers possibly being down before the fumble) went against us - maybe I was blinded by homerism, but on both cases I could see how the calls could have gone our way also.

****...This game was so fun to watch up until the last 2 minutes + OT. I suppose the silver lining is that we are not making the play-offs anyway so these losses actually help us for a better pick in the draft. But I just hate to lose. This game broke my heart so many times.

At the end of it all - I still think Campbell will be in the league for a long time and will do well whoever he ends up with - His longer balls have been so much better than at the beginning of the season. And he seems to have a very nice rhythm with Davis and Thomas. And damn - Thomas was awesome this game.

I would love it if we had campbell for another year. I'd love for us to adress the RB and O-Line situation in the draft instead.

This loss is hard to swallow. But I liked what I saw from the team in the first 58 minutes of the game.

Only would happen to the Skins, and I thought the Wizards were cursed.

The Kicker is a gonner, you lose your job when you miss a 28-yarder that could have sealed the game.

Meh...I kinda lost my thought there getting upset about the game again.

What I meant to say with all those things being our own fault. While those might have been our own mistakes. The Saints have been ridiculously fortunate to still be unbeaten. They didn't really force Barnes to get hit with the ball nor was there pressure to make Shuisham miss. And if I think back at the games they've had in the past few weeks where they've had similar comeback victories a proverb jumps to mind - luck favors the strong (those who are better). [It is a direct translation from how it is in Estonian so it differs from the English one. The proverb is "fortune favors the bold" in english I think]

Agree ... Suisham is garbage. He's got that fragile mentality that is just a killer for FG kickers. I'm afraid the same can be said for Jason Campbell as well. He was great for most of the game, but again when the game is on the line, he fails to produce. The Saints could've easily converted his stupid INT at the end of regulation for the victory. I simply can't remember the last time that Campbell has led the team in a game tying/winning drive.

It would be nice to see this team have a leader on the sidelines (Coach) and/or on the field (QB) that doesn't back away from pressure, but instead thrives in it.

As for the draft, O-Line is the no-brainer priority. I'm also not convinced that a high draft pick for a RB is a necessity. Seems to me like the 'skins have been running fairly well with the RBBC of undrafted no-namers. I'd seriously consider drafting a QB high in the upcoming draft with only O-Line and DBs for the remainder.
