Brewer for Camby

Post#1 » by partnerfusion » Sun Dec 6, 2009 9:05 pm

Brewer / Harpring for Camby.

Camby and Brewer are both expirings - Clippers already have their center and would like a 2/3 that can play some defense. Thoughts?

Honestly I wouldn't mind...

Camby/Okur/Fesenko/Koufos
Boozer/Millsap
Miles/Kirilenko
Mathews/Korver
Williams/Maynor/Price

Only problem is that we loose lots of depth at the 2/3 positions, we'd also have to let Koufos walk, no big deal. We just need to sign another SF/SG and we're good.

In my opinion, the Jazz really need to create a comprehensive plan to transform the roster through moves at the deadline and during the off-season. In order to assemble a formidable young lineup in which the individual skill sets mesh symbiotically to create a team with no glaring weaknesses at either end of the floor, the Jazz must maximize return on each personnel asset. Bringing Camby in as a stopgap solution to our interior defensive woes in no way moves the Jazz closer to assembling a contending team.

+1

Camby would make sense for a team that feels it's close to contending THIS YEAR and needs another piece. You could make the argument that Cleveland would've been better off getting Camby instead of Shaq.

- Kaman
