Evans and the future
Hey, I am a Raptors fan, and I would like to say that I am extremely jealous of Evans. I wanted him in the draft, but I had I knew that he would be gone way before. However, I am very pleased with Derozan and he was my second choice behind Evans. Do you think that your current level of play will be able to be sustained throughout the season? Do you think that Evans has Wade like potential? I for one see the possibility of him being just as good. The future is very bright for Kings fans! Also, if any of you can comment on Derozan it would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Evans and the future
The team will likely maintain this level of play, but I don't think we'll continue to hover around .500 for most of the year. We've had a relatively soft schedule so far, and almost all of our wins have been against below average teams. But I think we'll keep playing this way, and I think we'll see some real improvements when Martin and Garcia return.
It's tough to say Evans has Wade-like potential. As much as anything, I just don't want to get my hopes up about that. That's definitely not a knock on Tyreke. Wade is just really, really, amazingly good. We saw it first-hand last night.
From the little I've seen of Derozan, I have been quite impressed. He is much better than I thought he would be at this point. I'd bet a lot of Raptors fans are cursing the fact that you guys drafted him over Jennings, but I don't think that's how you measure how good a draft pick is. It should be measured by whether or not said player would be taken there if the draft were to be re-done. As of right now, it seems quite clear that Derozan would be taken higher.
