Eh..don't really agree. You would be surprised how scrawny NBA guys are by NFL standards. For example when MJ was playing ball he looked really muscular. When he played baseball though he looked like beanpole. For most NBA players it would be alot worse in the NFL.

NBA guys are by and large tall and skinny guys. Don't let the camera (and uniforms) fool you - very few of them have NFL body types at the power positions, IMHO. Either way we aren't ever going to find out..

Rondo is a lot faster than Harris, which was pretty obvious when they matched up last season. Devin looked positively slow compared to Rajon.

I don't know how fast Rondo is, timewise, but I'd put him up against anyone in the league. Hell, he challenged Bolt to a race. Knowing Rondo (who has an angle on everything), it would have been endline to endline on the court, where he actually would have had a legit chance. Anyone who knows Bolt, knows that he constantly gains speed over the course of a race, but it a relatively slow starter. Bolt from 50 to 100 meters is unbelievable. Bolt from 0 to 50 is quite ordinary for a world class sprinter. From 0 to 30 (NBA endline to enline), he might lose to a guy like Rajon.

Really? What the hell? This kind of (Please Use More Appropriate Word) ignorance makes me mad. How stupid can you be?

So since you know Bolt and how he gains speed over the course of a race, Rondo would beat him in a footrace? Bolt is the fastest sprinter in the world. That means, he outraces other SPRINTERS who get off to great starts.

Rondo is super quick. But he's super quick FOR A BASKETBALL PLAYER. Sprinters are on a different level. Rondo has no chance against any "ordinary world class sprinter" in a race. That goes for football players too.

GAWD... Why are people so dumb?

^^^ I think the point is Bolt picks up speed at the end of his race moreso then other sprinters as his topspeed is higher. Think of a car race because it helps...a muscle car with mad torque is very fast off the line. However they lack aerodynamics and thus over a longer distance (say 1 mile) they will lose out to real sports cars with a higher top speed.

That being said even an unexceptional sprinter for the first 30 yards would likely blow away a basketball player. <g>

I understand what you mean. But my point is that it doesn't matter. According to GreenDreamer, Bolt only runs at an ordinary world class sprinter's speed at the start of a race. Well, I'm saying that even that's more than enough to beat any basketball player in a footrace. And that includes Rondo.

No doubt. But Greendreamer isn't a normal fan when it comes to Rondo. :P I also think people are overlooking training when it comes to speed. Rondo might have world class speed potential but of course that no match for guys who DO have world class speed and have had tons of training.

Do we have Rondo's shuttle time? That's an event he could beat the sprinters in. Chris Johnson is a mistake though. He has huge explosive ability off the line..

Not only is he the fastest in the 40 but also the fastest in the first 10 yards..

I always thought that some of these big strong PF/C types would be amazing offensive tackles. Shaq is the obvious choice...but what about Big Baby, or even Vitaly Potapenko?

When you have to go back 10 years to find a guy - that's not a great thing. Every sport has its body type - in the NBA its dominated by tall thin guys - not so with the NFL where they have alot of shorter stockier types like RB (with a low center of gravity). The NFL and the NBA of course like the same fast twitch muscle types..but beyond that I don't think there is THAT much crossover. So you really have to reach. Your going to need what at least 16 OL/DL on your roster. The NBA doesn't have anywhere near that kind of depth of talent. Yeah sure if you can clone BBD and mutiply him by 16 there you go..

Offensive line would be the hardest position to fill. That's why I said I would need an O-line and a QB to start with. Way too much technique to learn at those positions.

I agree with that. IMO, O-line is the most important position on offense. Because most, if not all, NFL QBs can look amazing if they have the time to throw the ball and the receivers the time to get free. Same goes for the RBs. If they have a gigantic hole every time they get the ball, they'll look great. If there is no hole, it doesn't matter who you are, you won't be able to do anything.
