If the Pacers end up with a lottery pick they need to trade up to get Wall. Package their 1st rounder and a young guy like Price, Rush, McRoberts, whoever. Maybe switch 2nd rounders or just give the 2nd rounder away.
Neither Price, McRoberts, or any 2nd rounder (or any combination of these 3) would move you up even one spot from anywhere in the top 10. They most definitely will not get you up to #1. Even Brandon Rush will likely only get you up to the 5 spot or so, and even then, only if you're moving from 8-12 or so. Brandon Rush isn't enough to get you up to the #1 spot.
Yeah, there is no way a team is going to give up Wall for a 6-10th pick in the draft and some young players that can't even produce on a team like the Pacers.
The Pacers best chance at instant success is if they get a top 10 pick and luck into the next Brandon Jennings type, Granger/Dunleavy are healthy next year and Hibbert is allowed to develop in to a solid post guy who consistently can get 12-15ppg and 10 rebs with 2 blocks.
While the Pacers are talented enough to wiggle their way into an 8th seed in the pathetic East, that wouldn't help them long term. They would just get destroyed by the cavs or Magic or celts and lose out on a top notch prospect.
