All he does is shoot and since he can't shoot, you're seeing what you see now.

He's a rookie! That's what's up!!!

Give the kid a break. First year in the NBA only 20 games into the season. He had to start the season by playin 30+ mins and was made to play multiple positions. RELAX>>>>Give him at least 2 years......then you can start judging him.

^^No thank you, I'll judge him right now.

My main problem with T-Will is that as soon as he gets the ball he takes the shot. On friday he had like 12 shot attempts in 20 minutes. Today he had 5 shot attempts in 9 minutes. That equates to over 20 shots per 36 min. Dude isn't kobe, he shouldn't be taking so many shots. Stick to playing defense and scoring in transition, if you can't shoot there is no need to force it.

Another thing - and this isn't Williams' fault - is that the offense is very isolation oriented right now. There's not a lot of off the ball movement / screens / off-ball cuts towards the basket.

Just about every play starts with a Harris, CDR, or Lopez isolation.

I NEVER judge a rookie. This year is strictly to see what parts of his college game translate quickly and well into the NBA style of play and also see what he needs to work on. Year 2 is to see if he maintains/gets better in the strong parts of his game while reducing his mistakes/strengthening weaknesses. You can judge early in his second year because that will tell you if he messed around if the offseason or worked his tail off (see: CDR). I don't think it's fair to give an actual "judgement" for a player until well into his 3rd year.

It's all about progression and how fast they progress. I would say less than 20% of rookies make a significant impact their 1st year. Double that percentage their 2nd year, and maybe 75% show their true potential in their 3rd year. The other 25% are either busts, late bloomers (see: Hedo) or random rotaion guys that aren't bad but won't be stars.

Unless the guy was supposed to be a flat out stud entering the season, I don't think it's fair to judge a rookie.

It isn't his fault, when he comes into the game, they have him in complete iso at the top of the circle with no screens set for him, everyone knows he can't shoot the 3, so they give a few feet to guard against a drive and he shoots a **** shot... he should be on the baseline moving around....
The bigger concern I have with him is that he has a two guard body and limited outside shot.... if he doesn't develop an outside shot, I am going to get antoine wright flashbacks.

Terrance hit the rookie wall....To bad its early December. IDK theres something about this guy that screams Hassan Adams to me. He was a gamble high risk/high reward sort of like Yi but it looks like he's a longshot now.

Were you talking about Yi there or Twill? If you're speaking of the latter, that's a very harsh thing to say considering he's 20 games into his rookie season. You can't say things like that this early. Every rookie will hit the wall at some point in the season. What you need to observe is if it appears he's putting in extra work to push through it, how long it takes to break through the wall (if at all) and how he continues to impress during the season.

This is honestly too (Please Use More Appropriate Word) to be discussing right now people.

It's never too (Please Use More Appropriate Word) to discuss a player's Jamal-Crawford-esque shot selection :=)

This isn't to say that there is no hope for Williams or that he's a bust but damn does our boi need to stop taking jump shots. There's a reason that he's so wide open on the perimeter...

I am a big T Will fan, but he is starting to irk me with some of his Twitter comments.
His shot selection has been atrocious and he isn't doing a lot of what made him a stud in college.
Kind of how he wished he was drafted by a different team, I wish we drafted James Johnson, Omri Casspi, DeJuan Blair or Eric Maynor.
What a dick...

His Twitter comments make me want to say gtfo to him. But seriously, Omri Casspi is nice.

This was written in response to Terrence Williams' Twitter comments about being drafted.

As a Nets fan, I'm thinking the same thing. You've been terrible!

hey can u not complain about the nets and play ball. Also learn how to shoot the ball. i wish we got brandon jennings

I have to agree. This guy needs to learn how to shoot first. What a douche. He should feel lucky to be on the Nets even though we suck right now.
If we get a marquee free agent, I hope we trade this ungrateful prick for a draft pick or two after upping his value.

twitter is not working for me right now...I cant wait to read or for someone to tell me his exact comments, if they were taking down...this is absolutely ridiculous...what the hell was his quote?

(I dont tweet, I've read some, but are you able to edit your posts, like you can here?)

honestly, the NBA has been dealing with twitter as whole and how it affects fans and players...NBATV was talking about this last week...For sports overall, especially basketball, its a beautiful thing...though we are going to find NBA/team policies pop up, (tweeting during games), ect...but in regards to stupid remarks, displaying your team's dirty laundry, and any sort of derrogatory comments made by players(rookies) about there teams, should be dealt with accordingly...Players will be disciplined for comments on twitter the same as if they were saying them on the camera or on the radio, there is no difference...

Again there is nothing better than for a fan to speak directly to any professional sport player ...thats sort of line of communication, is what brings us closer to the sport...and with basketball you are as close as its gets...

I dunno when his comments were made, but maybe thats why he only played 9min...
