GT: Spurs (9-8) @ Jazz (11-8)

When: 9:00 PM ET, December 7, 2009
Where: EnergySolutions Arena, Salt Lake City, UT

Starting Lineups:

Spurs:
PG Tony Parker
SG Keith Bogans
SF Richard Jefferson
PF Tim Duncan
C Antonio McDyess

Jazz:
PG Deron Williams
SG Ronnie Brewer
SF Wesley Matthews
PF Carlos Boozer
C Mehmet Okur

We've lost two in a row and lost both of games against the Jazz so far this season so its safe to say that we need to win this one. Turnovers have been a problem so far this year and we need to start cutting down on them. The Jazz have struggled on defense lately so we need to take advantage of that and get our offense going early.

Spurs:
Mason and Finely are both listed as day to day but are expected to play.

Jazz:
Andrei Kirilenko is not expected to play tonight but the Jazz will more than likely have Kyle Korver back for the first time this season. The Jazz will however be without Matt Harpring for sure.

This has got to be the hottest game thread, with the least amount of traffic ever.

Words cannot express how much of a defensive liability Bonner is..Sure he is a terrific outside shooter for a big but he is part of the reason why we're an inconsistent defensive team..Blair and his 6'7" frame doesn't help either..As it stands our front court doesn't cut it..We have too many one dimensional bigs that need to learn how to play solid fundamental defense..I'm entertaining the thought of trading Ginobili for one more big who can do more than knock down open jumpers and provide legit size..I still feel we're one high quality big away from seriously contending and giving the Lakers a run for their money..

Hill needs to hit his shots as does Mason..When Pop played the Parker/Hill backcourt Hill had quite a few opportunities in which he was wide open with the nearest defender a mile away and he still clanked them..As for Mason he is quietly becoming useless..He can't create his own shot nor get by any semi-decent defender..He consistently blows defensive assignments and looks especially lost on p n r coverage..
