  Sorry- Big Slam- You are exactly right. Wolves have enough point guards.
Guess I was dreamin of some way we could dump Diops Salary and pick up something that resembles a true low post player and get our 2010 1st round pick back? Damage control? We already screwed up not taking Lopez and then we could have traded up for Chalmers instead of Ajinicia. We have really messed up alot of draft picks in this teams history? I think over the last 6 games Raymond and Flip have done a good job at the point and the 5 minutes AC Law played were ok .In College he was a great player , but has been a disappointment in the NBA. Maybe LB can change that.. We need to see more of him. I like the trade to the Knicks for Lee and Jefferson sending Diaw and Augustine, but they probably will not bite at it. But if they did and if we could resign Raymond to a contract we could be set for making the playoffs the next two years..
I believe Brand would be a big mistake. His minutes/productivity have dropped and he has had injury issues the last two years. He is a great player, but I see Lee fitting into the 4 spot better with Jackson and Wallace Giving us a post up player with a slasher/crasher and outside shooter. Lee would also complement Chandler / Nazr better. :o

regardless of wolves' pointguards it rediculous and naive to expect wolves to trade their pick for the prevelige(spelling?) to take on Diaw's contract, and wolves can't trade their 2010 pick because they already owe one top 10 protected to LAC.

Yuck. I'm not sure it's making Kahn change his mind.

Then Diaw must have been terrible last season because this year before the Jax trade he was awful. Playing well in a two minute spurt here and there does not qualify as playing better than the rest of the team. If there was more of a PF market, Diaw's lame inconsistent ass would have been shipped off already.

Yes of course, however, you said this....

Diaw is fine, Augustin is the one I'm ready to throw under the bus. He's stronger and quicker than he was last season but is shooting worse than Felton and still can't stay in front of anyone. I would rather have Bayless who could likely become an unstoppable combo guard when he's out of Portland.

i guess its fair to say that diaw was playing better than anyone prior to the jax trade... or close to it... but thats not a compliment for diaw but more of a result of how awful the rest of the team was playing those first 2 weeks. wallace was shooting like 12% from the field. chandler couldnt stay on the floor longer than 5 minutes, felton was giving the ball away like monta ellis (but w/out the scoring), dj was invisible and flip was still hurt.

or i guess one could argue that nazr was our best those first two weeks...

anyway...

My unscientific look at the first bunch of hammers threads suggest that Diaw was at least in the running, and he's still #2 cumulatively. The only other guy in the running was Crash.
