Honestly I'd go back to drinking if we lost to the Bulls tomorrow, they are absolutely miserable this year.

I live in Chicago and just about all the sports teams except the Blackhawks are having a miserable year. It's almost depressing listening to sports radio now.

With that said...I'm strongly considering making a play on the Bulls or Nets in this upcoming stretch of games. One of those games is going to be much closer than it should be. I just haven't figured which one yet.

Hawks should win but i said that with NY last Friday, even though it looks as if NY is actually playing well lately. I think we get this one by 16-20. The Bulls are simply not very good right now and add on top the back to back and the fact that they are bad on the road+the Hawks are very good at home and haven't played since Saturday. So yeah, Hawks FTW :wordyo:

The Hawks have a strange schedule in my opinion. This is the 4th time (in an early season) they've had multiple days off leading up to a Wednesday or Thursday game.
3 days off and beat the Knicks 114-101
4 days off and get dumped by the Magic 76-93
2 1/2 days off (early game on Sunday) and destroy the Raptors 146-115
3 days off since last playing Dallas. Given Chicago's woes (losing to NJ last night) and our recent history I think we cover this one. I'm more concerned about the 5pm Sunday game against NJ.

Bibby vs Rose is still a match up that Hawks fans have to be concern about.

My general thought on the Hawks right now is to bet against them when the other team has a guard that can exploit Bibby and can hurt the Hawks with offensive rebounding. The Bulls are an odd team- they are a lousy defensive rebounding team but a pretty good offensive rebounding team over the course of the season. (Zaza is an interesting player because he may do a lot of damage on offensive boards) Maybe its because the Bulls can become a team very dependent on jumpshots and it leads to more offensive rebounds?

My thought is that the Bulls really don't have a PF to stretch the floor and keep Josh Smith out of the lane in help defense which should help greatly against rose. I HOPE that the Hawks abuse the Bulls on the offensive glass. but ugh- 11 points is a lot to cover and i am normally strongly in favor of getting points rather than laying them. I think that the Hawks should cover but I don't feel good enough about it to lay points. I'll go ahead and put some money on the over because I do think there will be a lot of second chance points in the game.

I'd bet the over, but not the spread.

Joe has one of those 8-19 nights with Joakim Noah manning the paint. Smoove and Al combine for 13-19, get no more touches. Hawks win by 6.

It's tempting to take under when you look at the Bulls schedule(they have scored 90 or less in about half their games) but the Hawks defense get's worse in these type of games for some reason.

I wish I could get some odds on today being a season high in points for Rose though. Bibby is basically a chair on defense vs guards who are that quick.

As a Bulls fan, I would be surprised if Hawks don't win by more than 25 points.

Question to bulls fans:

If Duhon is shooting 30% from the field 1/4 of the way through the season why is he still starting? I'm scratching my head over that one.

Duhon plays for the Knicks.

Forgot this was on ESPN. Prepare for the stupid "Joe Johnson is the most underrated superstar in this league" remarks.

Here's a good drinking game, take a shot every time some moron refers to us as "young" and/or "athletic."

No in-game posts? The Bulls are terrible.

Well...this was the 1st game of the year that had no suspense what so ever unless you were betting on it. The Bulls had a classic "mail one in right before the coach get's fired" type of game.

Time to watch the John Wall show vs UConn now...

Got home from church and saw the 2nd half. What's there to say? The Bulls mailed it in (except for James Johnson, who played great but I thought shoulda gotten a flagrant called on him for the hard foul on Crawford).
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.
