So NOW he learns!

Post#1 » by wheresbrody » Wed Dec 9, 2009 9:37 pm

I just read that Rick Adelman is taking his time bringing Tracy McGrady back from his injury because the Rockets have built solid chemistry and doesn't want to bother it. From what I can remember the year Webber came back from his injury we were hot and had one of the best records in the league with Miller and Divac starting, but as soon as Webber was available to play he was starting right off the bat (correct me if I'm mistaken) and we were never the same team from that point. I just thought that was interesting because we were in the same position a few years back..maybe Rick learned a good lesson?

Bringing Chris back was our only hope of truly competing that year. We needed a healthy Webber. We didn't get it, so we didn't compete, but it was worth the shot.

Even then, I don't know if we could have pulled it off. Doug was a step slower that year. IIRC, Bobby had trouble staying healthy. That team just wouldn't have had what it takes to go all the way. The D just wasn't going to be good enough.

... What the heck Smills, come on now.

We needed a healthy Webber then, an unfortunetly, we never really got that. It's pretty much like mitch said.
