I think the Rockets value Hayes too highly for this. I'm sure if you wanted to simply take Cook that they might consider making it worth your while, though.

Only issue with that is we don't have the open cap room to simply take Brian Cook.
And the only asset we'd likely trade is Steven Hunter's expiring.
If they had only kept Brent Barry's contract for trade, Cook/Barry for Hunters' expiring would have been a great deal to get Memphis some depth and get the Rockets under the tax.

Like loserx said, the Rockets probably don't do this because we need Hayes. Cook and Taylor are yours if you want them.
