Just think about it.....

-Top 5 best player of all times
-Current European and World Championship MVP
-Best backcourt in the league
-Best one on one defender in the game
-Best frontcourt in the league
-Best coach of all times
-Probably the best sixth man in the game
-Three versatile point guards, Clutch shooter, Playmaker, and dunker.
-Deeper bench

Not even MJs Bulls had this team, our frontcourt is way better. Only Bird's Celtics are a match up.
Yeah, this is only the beginning and maybe we will lose this, but our potential is the greatest ever.

Best Backcourt

Kobe is MVP Fisher well not so mutch and is to slow
I would not call our PG versatile :roll:

And our Bench is not that deep . Odom great, Brown okey, Farmar okey then the rest is just scrups.

But if this teams show some hear and win a ring then i think this can be one of the greatest teams in the history of the NBA.

Let me kick some knowledge to the young buck..................NO this isn't the best team ever, and the Lakers franchise has had teams that were way way better. You need to research the team and look at some of those 80's teams.

They had what this team doesn't have and they used this weapon EVERY game and that is...........Killer Instinct. Calm down, this team has a long way to go before they reach greatness like those 80's Lakers.

Ahhh, people, let's not overreact we have some big road trips coming up after our cooshy schedule of home games dies down, lets' talk then.

Our bench is really not that good,

Our starting and back up PG are not that good. (clutch, but not that good otherwise)

No way ! Not even close. 17-3 with a bunch of games at home is not enough to judge about the current Lakers team. They have yet to hit the road with back-to-backs and 6, 7 games in 10 days.
This team is strong, very strong, beating the opponents by a big margin not even playing at their maximum yet. I really love they way they're getting the job done defensively, really impressive from a team that didn't use to shut down even average teams in the past. Opponents' 3 pt. % at .295, which is awesome, as we all remember very well how other teams could get hot and shoot lights out from downtown when playing the Lakers in the last 2 seasons. Defensively, this may be the best Lakers team I've seen, underline, the best I'VE SEEN, not the best all time.

Offensively we still lack rhythm and flow. Ron is doing good, his passing ability is really impressive, but he still isn't comfortable, it's easy to notice that.

The bench, oh well, is mediocre. I mean, Shannon, Farmar and Odom can be great 1 out of 3 games. I really like how Powell is playing, as Phil should use him a bit more. Odom as the best 6th man ? J. Crawford is by far the best 6th man in the league right now, no doubt.
That's the weakest point in the current team, the bench.

Overall, this team is great. If they improve, even better, if not, which I doubt, I'm very OK with that.
Last year, that team when they finished that road trip 6-0, beating in two days the Celtics and the Cavs, it was 80 % clear who'd win the title, as they were ready, focused and hungry.

We'll see how well this team will handle the adversity this season, by february we'll have an answer.

Even if they win 3 titles in a row, they won't be considered as the best team ever.

Waaaaaay too early for this thread. We've been playing outstanding ball, but this team hasn't even proven it's the best in the league THIS season (i.e. Championship #16).

But the possibilities and potential of this team are definitely exciting.

Most definitely. But it's seven months until June. Hell, we haven't even gone on a road trip yet. As such, threads like this are just ridiculous.

Waaayy to soon to jump to that conclusion bro. We've played 20 games, the season isn't even half way over. IMO a team has got to win a championship before even being put in that discussion.

Lakers are the best team in the NBA right now, but all time? lol, please. Can't make that conclusion unless they at least win a championship. Bring this thread back up in June. There are weaknesses in our bench and PG play.

It was one game. We have played way to many at home and not enough on the road to say that this is a great team. If we got 5-1 on the road and then another 5-1 on another road trip, then we are a great team, right now we are a good team and great home team. Second half of the season we will be paying for all the home games. Win one at a time.

wtf is the point of posting this? weve been playing well, but we havnt done sh*t yet, half the season isnt even over yet, your over reacting calm down... houston won what 30 games straight 2 years ago? they lost in the 1st round of the playoffs, Im a hardcore laker fan, but your over reacting dude

Im not talking about 20 games, this team is owning since we got Gasol in 2008... please, those guys hadnt lost 3 games in a row after Gasol's trade. And I am pretty sure, if we got him in the beginning of that season we would have won the NBA 2008. We would have got HCA, and with HCA this team is UNBEATABLE and now we would talk about a dynasty already. Last year the team was a juggernaut on offense, but this year the Lakers are a double juggernaut on offense with a improved Bynum Farmar and Shannon, Artest in the perimeter, Kobe is playing like GOAT without the pressure of win "without Shaq", same for a prime Pau who hasnt that pressure of "soft" after the Finals against Howard, and we are playing defense as I cant remember....

Man the Lakers lucked out on so many occasions this is just ridiculous. Not only do you have KOBE!, but you got rid of Kwame brown to get Pau Gasol. Andrew Bynum is so ridculously talented to go along with him being coached by KAJ and also you have Lamar ODOM. WTF. I'm a Raptors/Cavs Fan and Yes, I am hating on the Lakers.

Oh not to mention a competent coach. Having a good coach is overlooked by so many people its ridiculous. Anyways, looks like you are repeating.
