Chad Johnson Injured

Post#1 » by Monkeyfeng06 » Mon Nov 5, 2007 12:52 am

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chad Johnson was transported to a Buffalo-area hospital, complaining of neck pain after he was hurt late in Cincinnati's 33-21 loss to the Bills on Sunday.

Coach Marvin Lewis said Johnson had movement in all of his extremities and was sent to a hospital as a precaution. Johnson had tests immediately after he was carted off the field before he was loaded into an ambulance about 20 minutes after the game was over.

Fellow receiver and good friend T.J. Houshmandzadeh jumped into the ambulance to be with Johnson. It's not clear if Johnson would be able to travel with the Bengals on their flight back to Cincinnati.

Johnson was hurt when he was sandwiched by Bills defenders Donte Whitner and Coy Wire, while attempting to make a diving catch over the middle with 1:53 remaining. Johnson dropped the ball and lay face down on the field at the Bills 37 as the game was delayed for about 10 minutes.

Best wishes to Chad... My Ocho Cinco.

I'm officially on the "Give Chad Johnson Brain Damage" bandwagon.

Your original post was a lot more tamer.

That threw me out of whack.

Eh, the announcers alluded to this and they are kinda right: Chad Johnson attracts so much attention to himself that eventually defensive backs would want to give him a good hit and try and knock him out. Not saying Buffalo was malicious or whatever, but I'm surprised this hasn't happened sooner. I realize Chad is all fun and games though, but still.

Chad gets laid out probably more than any receiver in the NFL. I didn't see the hit but I saw him getting carted off the field. Good luck to him.

Get well soon, Chad, but no rush to get back on the field. Looks like the Bengals are not doing anything this season.

Johnson flew home with his teammates Sunday after medical tests showed that he sustained no damage to his neck after being hurt late in Cincinnati's loss to Buffalo, the Associated Press reports.

So back on topic it looks like everythings fine.

Im glad that Chad is going to be ok. Unlike most of the other problem WRs, CJ always seems like all his talk is good natured, and his opponents mostly dont seem to mind. Hell, the guy has even gotten a smile out of Bill Bellichick during a game.

I know, I was just ribbing you. I like Chad Johnson; third funniest player in the league behind Portis and Roy Williams.
