Pretty solid article on Ray Allen...sorry if that has been posted already.

On scoring 20,000

”It’s a big number,” Allen conceded. ”To me, it’s a wondrous accomplishment. It’s about staying healthy, taking care of my body, being on a good team. A lot of things. But I’m still working hard every day to get better and I can’t afford to focus on numbers. The more games I can play, the more games we can win, that’s where the focus is. On this team, we don’t pay attention to the individual stuff.”

”But this is what I know. My house is here in Boston. I want to do everything I can to make sure I stay here and finish my career out.”

Enough said. Boston wants Ray, Ray wants Boston. Sugar Ray will retire in green. Unless we get knocked out of the playoffs in dissapointing fashion this year, he will get his J-Kidd type contract and play for us a couple more years before he turns to full time golfing.

he's moved around, but like reggie miller, he can play till he's 40.

he should stay in boston. no reason not to sign him to a 3-4 year contract extention for 6-8m

What are the chances we can trade Ray at the deadline to a team that will buy out his contract, resign him two weeks later (like we did with Gary Payton) and extend him this summer with the MLE?

Hinrich/Deng for Ray makes the Bulls contenders for two max free agents (e.g. Wade/Bosh)
