WIZ v. CELTICS
When: Tonight
Where: ESPN
Who: See Subject line
How: By any means possible, including good kharma. (So someone who can access images please add the Celtics cheerleaders to the thread. If they don't have cheerleaders add 10 or 11 of Tiger's woman, thanks.)
Why: Because at some point we have to play well, right?

Re: WIZ v. CELTICS
Should be interesting to see which Caron we see tonight. Butler always seems to have something special for the Celtics, or Paul Pierce in particular.
Not getting my hopes up concerning Arenas, but I'd really like to see him match Rondo's intensity and take on the challenge rather than going into "I'm a PG" mode.

Re: WIZ v. CELTICS
I wonder if the old Gil will show up tonight. Big games call for elite players.
Gil needs to play Gils game and not Flips game....... He's not CP3 He's Arenas

Knowing this team, we'll probably win. Then turn around and lose to the Nets and Timberwolves.

Re: WIZ v. CELTICS
Closg00, that was some funny sh**. Almost fell out of my chair. too true
I know CCJ thinks Gil needs some time off, and maybe he's got a mental issue he needs to work through. I actually don't think time off will solve the issue. Gil is basically a fighter. He's been a fighter his whole life. We've all heard his life story and he was never given anything. He's been proving himself from day one. Now that he's got his 9 figure salary, he's arrived. I remember reading how he stopped being so serious and started goofing around with Nick and Dom, playing paintball at their house etc., and his comments on how that pressure to prove himself is gone. Then the pics of his new house. The million dollar birthday parties. And then the awful medical mistreatment by the wholly incompetent Wiz medical staff. I think he's lost the mental edge. However, I am sympathetic to the view that he doesn't want to re-injure himself so getting the confidence back in his body will take time and two years is almost unprecedented, so I guess we need to scale back expectations and that the swag won't be fully back until towards the end of this year. But I would like to see some of the fire and truculence of the Gil that tried to fight Dalembert.

Well, I live in Asia and am about as out of current American Pop culture as your grand mother, but the idea as I understand it is that Tiger is known for eschewing black ladies during his frolicking.
But honestly, I learn half this stuff from my gossipy Mom when we do Sykpe chats, so maybe I'm not the best one to listen to

I don't know why the chat room we usually use is not working. If someone has another one we can use, please post it in the game thread.

It is somewhat sad to see the Celtics get more cheers from the crowd than the supposed home team.

Re: WIZ v. CELTICS
Pretty long stretch with Jamison, Blatche and Haywood in the front court there. A few problems with Jaimson on Pierce, but interesting to see.
Not that it was a good shot or an antidote to our trigger-happy ways, but how 'bout that Gil long ball from way back. eh? Yeah, that was kind of nice to see just to know he could do it. That will stir the swag meter a bit.

That always makes me sick, but I'm used to it over the years. Front-running, non-fans.
