Buck Martinez new play by play on Sportsnet (Campbell gone?)

Now if they can just get rid of Rance Mulliniks then I can finally watch the game with the sound on!

It's not clear who Martinez will work with. The contracts of analysts Pat Tabler, Rance Mulliniks and Darrin Fletcher are all up for renewal.

Should make the season more interesting. I wonder if they'll bring any of these guys back.

wooo Jamie's gone! That monotone, snooze inducing voice won't be heard again.

They need to put a new guy in beside Buck because Rance, Tabler, and Fletcher have worn out their welcomes too.

This is clearly the best news we're going to hear all offseason.

As for the colour guy, I don't mind Fletcher.

I know this is OT, but for a few years I've been harbouring the dream that Jalen Rose will become the colour guy for the Raps. How great would that be?

Wooh, great news! Jamie Campbell was the second most annoying sports commentator in the world after Leo Rautins. I don't mind the trio of Fletcher, Tabler and Mulliniks for Color but fresh voices wouldn't hurt.

Campbell was pretty awful, but I can't stand Buck Martinez either. I think I'd rather have Campbell than Buck. There, I said it!

Lesson 1 for Buck as the play by play man. Don't mention TSN when being interviewed on Sportsnet.

I'm not sure about Buck as the play by play guy. But I'm glad Campbell is gone. Maybe they'll show him the same disrespect they did to Rob Faulds.

And I guess Buck had to wait for JP to leave before he could come back. He probably never thought he'd have to wait so many years.

I really liked Jamie Campbell when he was doing the 11 o'clock highlights but he was pretty lousy calling Jays game.

He does basketball commentary in the US here (not color though). He is pretty entertaining except, whenever the subject of Chris Bosh comes up, he always says that Bosh is leaving.

Having Buck back as play by play would be weird. How partial to the team can he be when he used to manage and then got fired by them? I'm fearful for the "I know better act" that could creep in here and there. Colour, fine. Play by play, I don't know.

Great addition! But shouldn't Buck work the colour side of things? IMO that's where we were lacking anyway. Plus we'd then have a set duo instead of this merry-go-round of gibberish.

I'm a bit older then most around I think but I really liked Tony Kubek doing color on the Jays broadcasts. I think he used to do games with Don Chevrier if I'm not mistaken.
