Well SApuro_ was one of the most outspoken Spurs fans all season and now is virtually invisible along with a few other Spursfans. Come on back to the GB or Laker board, we miss yall.

I haven't disappeared. Most of my post are unfortately on others teams pages. I gave props to Boston for kicking our butts and the Mavs, and the Jazz and everyone else.

It hasnt been the beginning to a season that I would have liked but I didnt disappear. Hard for me to say the Lakers will be eating out of our hands when I worried about taking care of the bobcats tonight.

As the season goes on and the team gets better hopefully I can ruffle some feathers. Just be patient my little laker friend.

As long as the Spurs have a center who shoots 3-pointers (as good as a shooter Bonner is), they are not a serious threat to the Lakers because Duncan can't match up the length and size of Gasol AND Bynum together. Teams with centers who shoot 3's (like the Suns) are really just gimmicky and are acknowledging that they have no other options.

The Laker Cleve game was interesting. I have to watch it again because I had company and the kids were distracting .....So Gutta has a point I believe. because a large part of the Cavs success appeared to be putting Z and Shaq on Bynum and Gasol.

For the first time this year that I saw they were both matched with players their own size and did not respond well to it.

Theo's playing time should get bumped up against them when we play. Whenever that is.

And Bonner time needs to be whittled down because he is at a severe mismatch against Bynum or Gasol. Dyse too.

The other factor is Kobe is still shooting too much which makes them easier to defend. He shot as much as the rest of the starting five yesterday or very close too it if you count fouls - which is nuts. Pau, Bynum, Artest, and Odum are all capable of avg'ing 18+ a game or have already done so.

Kobe's playing like he did when they lost to the Pistons in the finals when DFish shot 60% from three and Shaq shot 60% from 2. and Payton was frozen out.

I'm looking forward to Spring.

We can take LA..We just need one more piece to do so..I'm a firm believer that we're one quality big from giving the Lakers a run for their money..They still have their flaws at PG and bench depth overall..The problem is having Duncan face them alone is not enough..A strong defensive presence who can alter shots, make an imprint on the glass, and put Bynum or Gasol to work on the defensive end will be key..I would not hesitate to send Ginobili along with one of either Blair or Dyess to get it done..Jefferson is indispensable IMO because without him our SF depth is toast as we would be left with Finley and Finley alone..Ginobili and Mason are fully incapable of playing at the 3 effectively no matter how many times Pop puts one of the two there out of pure necessity..In addition to position need Jefferson is also still in his prime and we have to take that into consideration from an aging contender's standpoint..We'll have a better understanding of where we stand next to them on January 12..

Would the Spurs look into trading for Dalembert?Dude can be very disruptive on the defensive end. He is 7 feet tall, good defender, good shotblocker and terrific rebounder. He'd make it very hard for opposing team to score on the Spurs.Sixers might take a the combination of Mason,Finley and another expiring for Dalembert/Carney. You'd be stacked in the frontcourt but a little thin in the singman positions but Jefferson,Bogans,Ginobili,Parker and Hill should be enough.

We'll see tonight won't we ? More pressure on the Spurs to see if they can compete with the Lakers than it is on the Lakers to see if they can beat the Spurs.

Hey Deep you wanna place a wager on tonights game. Nothing too crazy just something creative...let me know.

When we play the Lakers we need to give Ratliff 20 min a game. If he was younger and not injury prone our best everyday line up would be.

Parker
Ginobilli
Jefferson
Ratliff
Duncan

Ratliff would make our D healthy again.

Looks like he can guard Bynum better than Duncan can.
