Free Agency

Post#1 » by Bartender » Fri Dec 11, 2009 2:06 pm

I doubt we'll be getting anybody. I just found out that it is an uncapped year so that PRETTY much means that Oakland, Washington, and Dallas will be reeling in all the players with all their moneyz they got and we don't!

DETROIT, IT'S YOUR FAULT THAT THE LIONS DON'T HAVE MONEY!! HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO GO OUT AND SIGN A **** LOAD OF GOOD PLAYERS IF WE CAN'T EVEN SELL OUT A HOME GAME?!?!?!
YOU WANT A GOOD TEAM? WELL THEN GET YOUR ASS TO THE GAMES SO THE LIONS ORGANIZATION HAS ENOUGH MONEY TO BRING IN GOOD PLAYERS TO MAKE A GOOD TEAM!!!!!!!

omg I'm stressin.

Not only that, but the owners are backing out of the CBA for revenue sharing with marginal teams.

AKA the Jaguars, Bills, Bengals, Lions are FUUCKED, especially with NO salary cap. Those franchises are flat out not going to be able to compete unless they move.

When Dallas, Oakland and Washington are spending $220 million on their teams yearly and the small market teams aren't even able to afford $50 million, we could seriously see the league shrink in size very shortly.

L.A. Jaguars
Oklahoma City Lions
London Bengals
Toronto Bills

I honestly didn't really think we would be major players in free agency yet. I figure we'll do more of the same (guys like Foote and Jansen) make similar trades and add a new no.2 QB.

If we're gonna make a push for someone, I'd like to see it be at running back.

I think we would of had a chance cuz it's obvious there's potential and the young players and coaches attract other players. BUT with the no cap rule now, we will never get any good free agents.

What will happen is, Dallas will become the Yankees, Oakland will become the Red Sox, Washington will be the Cubs. The no cap rule is ruining sports. I see a NBA strike coming up here in the couple years.
