LeBron: the dancing fool, cool or not?
I have heard tv and radio personalities discuss Bron's recent sideline dancing DURING the game.
There are 2 basic schools of thought on this:
1. Bron simply loves to have fun all the time. He loves playing basketball, clowning around and dancing. Seemingly, he'd say that he means no disrespect to the opponents and that this is him being him. He's just a dancing fool...
2. Doubtful that you'd ever see Bron dancing when his team being down 20 in the 3rd quater. The fact that he is dancing during the game is seen as "showboating" and clowing his opponents.
Personally, I think its a little bit of both. I find it odd that a guy who has yet to win a NBA championship and is an admitted sore loser who doesn't shake hands when he loses, goes on a limb like that. I'd love to see opponents dance up a storm the next time they beat the Cavs (except the Lakers).
I would have given top dollar for D Howard to have simulated taking pictures of the Cavs walking off the court after they got punked in the ECF. That would have been freakn priceless.
Anyways, more than anything I think Bron has become a little to full of himself in recent years. He loves the spotlight and wants to make sure its always on him, even when he is not on the floor. The kid just better make sure he faces the consequences of someone mocking his little act if he does not win.
Come XMAS I don't want to see any dancing, except from the Laker girls. And Kobe and the gang better make sure of it.

Re: LeBron: the dancing fool, cool or not?
Doesn't really bother me, but I'm not really down with any of LeBron's antics. It just seems kind of fairy to me. I'm a much bigger fan of unscripted jubilation, like Magic trying to high five a teammate so hard he almost misses. Or Bird's crooked finger in the air as his last 3-pointer drops through the net. Or Jordan's shoulder shrug, amazed even at himself. Dancing and fake photo shoots doesn't really measure up to that, IMO. But it's cool -- he's still an awesome player and I (mostly) enjoy watching him play.

This reminds me of the story the emperors new clothes. I think we should call it 'The King's new moves'.
We just need some little kid to tell him how (Please Use More Appropriate Word) he looks.

@ssclown
i prefer the heading straight for the locker room and not shaking hands with the opponent after a big defeat move myself.

he's a shmuck, plain and simple. his antics are nothing but disrespectful show-boating and on the flip side he has the nerve to walk off the court sulking against the Magic. The guy's an immature schmuck.

He's trash and very classless. Im not taking anything away from his game, but for an under achiever he sure has a big head. To top it off Cavs tools actually think he's better than Kobe. How sad.
I cant wait till we meet these clowns and show them what being a champion as well as good sportsmanship is all about. Skip Lefail and the fallen bunch and you can throw their fans in there as well.

Re: LeBron: the dancing fool, cool or not?
I was talking about how stupid he looked in the thread on the GB.
Whether or not you think its a big deal about him dancing, sportsmanship and stuff like that...He just straight up looked like an IDIOT.
The guy was hopping around in circles on 1 foot....while the game was still going on
People are always saying how the game in the 70s-80s-90s was soo much better, tougher than it is now...Can anyone ever imagine Bird, Jordan, Magic, Hakeen, etc doing that back then? Even as goofy as Shaq was he was all business during the 48 minutes of a game.
Also someone pointed out the fact that about a week before LeBron started dancing around like a fool, he was complaining about how the dunk contest "Isn't like it was back in the 80s and 90s" and basically saying it is too much of an act/showmanship....Good one LeBron

When you are the top gun in the league you need to maintain an aura about yourself. MJ had it, Kobe had it, Duncan had it even Shaq and Iverson carry themselves so well on the court. What Lebron is trying to achieve with this image is beyond me.

He looks like a hip-hop Bojangles every time he shuffles around during games.

Re: LeBron: the dancing fool, cool or not?
I say let him dance. However, when we beat the Cavs by 20, we'll just tell adam morrison to do a dance for lebron and co. Nothing would be more humiliating to adam morrison doing a victory dance in your face.

Under achiever? You can call LeBron a lot of things -- as we are all doing in this thread -- but I'm not sure how that one sticks. Dude's been a monster since his first game in the NBA.

agreed, it's just surprising to me to see him put effort to getting attention in this manner. He came into the league as the most hyped player ever. and even then and being the nba's new golden child, he always acted cool and even seemed humbled. the kid said and did all the right things.
but now all this powder tossing, picture taking dufus dancing may come back to bite him in the ass. People tend to favor and respect the dog that wins.
All I know is that if we cruise to another chip, a whole lot of people (FAs) will want to create a team to match up vs the Lakers. Including Bron...

McHale's statement might just be the only time I will ever agree with a Celtic on anything.

Every team should have an enforcer for this specific reason... i know we do...

Greatest comment I've ever received.

The guys are just dancing around having fun. They aren't show boating and trying to embarass teams. Making a big deal out of nothing.
