Hi all. Bulls fan here.
It's becoming more apparent that our tanking team is getting ready to fire our coach (Vinny Del Negro) and appears more and more likely that we might promote Bernie Bickerstaff from assistant to head coach.
I know when he was in Charlotte he had some pretty awful talent to work with, but I'm just curious what you all felt about Bickerstaff as a coach.
How would you rate him? What were his strengths/weaknesses? Any thoughts? Just curious.

Great motivator and leader of men. Horrible tactician/head coach.
Still, better than Sam Vincent though!!

I think he'll be even worse than VDN.

Good coach, IMO. If you're looking for him to develop any of your young ones, you've got the wrong guy, though.
Humble yourself.

I think Bernie had about a handful of plays in his arsenal, but he typically was able to motivate the available talent to play above the sum of their individual abilities. 2nd best coach in Bobcats history.

In all fairness, hes also the 2nd worst.
Bulls could do worse then have him FINISH OFF THE SEASON. Bulls name him head coach after that, they'll wish they had Tim Floyd back.

Not a good coach IMO. The only thing he does good is he gets his team to play really hard. But other than that, his subbing patterns are horrendous, he forced our young PG (5th pick) to play SG most of his career, he turned down Chris Paul to keep Sean May, and he has like 3 plays in his book.
