I wonder how close Jonny is with his former 'Cuse mate Johnson.

I thought Johnson just transfered there this year...

They practiced together last year

Johnson was at cuse last year, but had to sit out a year. It sounds like they have a good relationship based off their Twitter conversations.

I wouldn't mind Johnson in that 4-7 range. Not in my top 3 though.

I still like Turner in the top 3, as long as he didn't need to have an aluminum back replacement installed (or his tongue replaced with a basset hound's)

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

To be totally clear about Johnson, he was at Iowa State, then he had some sort of rift with Greg Mcdermott, and then transferred to Syracuse and sat out last year. I have hard feelings because I'm imagining an Iowa State team with Craig Brackins, Wesley Johnson, and Marquis Gilstrap...

From a strategic perspective, the Wolves should take the best player available for all their picks in this draft. They should build the deepest, most talented team they can through the draft, free agency and trades without worrying too much about team balance. Then after they have assembled a highly talented 8-12 man roster they worry about any roster balance issues.

There is a downside to this approach that is worth note. When our roster is imbalanced we put them in a position where their trade value falls. See: Sessions, Ramon.

It's so frustrating to watch Syracuse on ESPN..... I still remember watching Wesley Johnson throwing down some nasty dunks at a party my Freshman year. He is a freakin beast and would put ISU in the top 15. But back to the topic...

John Wall then Favors/Turner then need.

It's hard to specify trade value. It is only real when it happens. If teams are doing a good job of scouting, it shouldn't matter too much whether a player starts or comes off the bench. Obviously if a player doesn't play at all, it is viewed as an assessment of his ability. If you play your most talented 8-10 players, regardless position, it shouldn't affect the Wolves ability to get comparable value back in trades.
