The Rock to force the Nets hands?

Post#1 » by Rockice_8 » Fri Dec 11, 2009 8:00 pm

Check NetsDaily.com for the link.

The Nets would get 1 million for every game played there (41 million a year) plus other incentives like concessions and sponsorship money.

But there is a catch. The numbers haven't been given yet, but the Nets must have certain % of the salary cap used. Which means that the Nets would be forced to spend money this offseason to meet these demands. They just want to put a competitive team on the floor.

This seems like a great deal for the nets that 41 million+the other money would pretty much cover the salaries.

As long as we don't spend stupid to meet these demands I like the deal. Lebron's salary would probably get us to that mark.

This is fine with me.
Although I don't want reckless spending, there are a lot of good options this offseason.
I really want to see the Nets at the Rock for a season or two before Brooklyn and let's be serious here, there is no way any of the big FA's is going to sign with us, even with Brooklyn guaranteed if they are forced to play two years in the freakin' Izod Center.
Let's go!

Thats the greatest news i ever read.Honestly if we were to sign LBJ we would win an NBA Championship @ the ROCK.Then I'd feel like Harold and Kumar when they made it to White Castle.
