I think the focus here should be keeping AlciG and making sure the Juggernaut doesn't turn into the Soviet Union.

He won plenty of leagues. He at least won FFKL. I'm sure there was a year where won multiple leagues.

Yeah seriously, you're picking THIS week to bench every player? I don't want a 9-0/8-1 whatever victory under these circumstances.
Why the schlong face?

I actually founded/commish'd that league. Boy did that one end poorly for me.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Really WB? 6 moves in the last three days? Did you really think you could stream your way to victory?

Re: Ongoing FFDL Discussion Thread
But seriously though, I know we shouldn't make "major" changes to the league rules during a season but I think we should discuss a reasonable restriction on moves. This guy is averaging more than 7 moves a week. It's not even entirely because I hate the guy. He's on pace for like 150 roster moves. The last couple years it was like "Ha ha, that's the streamer guy" and he's historically made "a lot" of moves, (i.e. like 60 or 70), but he's making double the amount of moves than he's ever made before.
This blows Stanford's poor sportsmanship streaming-to-preserve-the-streak thing out of the water. There have been a lot of questionable things allowed recently, and admittedly I played them up to increase league activity, but I really think this is something that puts the league's legitimacy into question. I agree with a manager's right to scour the waiver wire to better his team but this is clearly not what's happening here. He's trying to gain a competitive edge by streaming and unfortunately most of the teams can't teach this punk a lesson like mine.
The league has been very unregulated this year and part of it has made for interesting conversation, but at some point enough is enough and we need some semblance of leadership Jordan, even if you are planning to step down at the end of the season. I'd step up myself, but I fear in my effort to spark rivalry and talk amongst the league I might have made myself too polarized to be "the leader".
Anyways, back to the original point: 50 **** roster moves? Are you kidding me? I feel like I've been almost overly active this year myself and I don't even have a third of that. Can we please do something about this?
(On a related note, I'm still gonna to bring the pain this weekend against WB and I'm by no means trying to make excuses for only leading him 6-3)

Re: Ongoing FFDL Discussion Thread
I'm with Sly in saying that I don't think streaming is even all that effective. Everything that was said about me can be said about Brian, times 2. By dropping so many players, he runs a huge risk of losing a productive player to a more patient manager. More than anyone else by far.
As I've said for pages, I'll vote yes on a move limit. Carl has succeeded in his plan to make everyone hate him, so I'll be his surrogate leader.
So let's take a vote:
Post whether you're for or against a move limit, whether it be weekly or yearly. If you don't post, I'll take it that you don't care.
We can take it from there.
I'm for a weekly move limit.

I'm for a move limit. My suggestion would be either 5/week or a cap of 100 per season.

If not being afraid to call a spade a spade makes me the town a-hole, I hope you all can all realize that when it comes down to it this **** is committed to preserving the high standards of this league.

I think what we're forgetting here is that Brian doesn't have nearly the team you have. Right now you have 1 flex spot, with it probably going up to 2 when Oden misses his fifth game. Brian currently has 3 flex spots with the possibility of it going up to 5 when Ben Wallace remembers he sucks and if/when Jerebko falls back to earth.
Also, one thing I think we're forgetting is that once you get into that cycle of streaming, Brian does have an advantage over other guys in reacquiring his talent, because I'm probably not going to waste my waiver priority on just anyone, whereas he can sort of use his whenever he wants to get back his borderline players if he's worried someone else is eyeballing them.
So yes, I do think there's an advantage and it would be a shame if WB makes it into the playoffs due to excessive streaming instead of one of the better teams that will probably be on the bubble (AlciG, TheMan, Ham).

Re: Ongoing FFDL Discussion Thread
One thing on WB's moves, is that it seems like it's often the same spot on the same day as he keeps changing his mind. His 2 or 3 moves = 1 real move.
In any case, 5 moves per week sounds fine if we go that route. I'm also ok if we don't put a moves limit, for reasons previously stated. In the big picture, what has wb's frequent manuvering done for him? Not a whole lot.

Re: Ongoing FFDL Discussion Thread
Who are we attacking here?
I don't consider Brian a streamer. Unlike Fran, who added Leon Powe specifically on Saturday for a Sunday night game on about seven occasions, you will find that Brian makes moves to find in-form players...and when they fade, he finds others. Also, as George mentioned, he's also changes his mind quite often.
As for Coady and his moves, now that's the problem. He didn't deny it.
We can make a change now to add some boundaries to increase fair play.
My suggestion is: 50 moves for the season and 5 moves a week for playoff rounds, and 7 moves for the final 'week'.
