Nocioni trade thread
since we are all in agreement that Nocioni Should be traded.
Nocioni and May
for
gadzuric and elson or Alexander (exp)
kings add two big bodies to their front line or Alexander who's option was denied so he is an exp. Contract.
Bucks add Nocioni who can play a little D and sometimes hit a 3. He is also an upgrade from Alexander.

Re: Nocioni trade thread
Honestly, I think we can do better. Gadz isn't even an NBA player. We can at least get expirings or a serviceable back-up big(Gadz isn't serviceable.).

Re: Nocioni trade thread
The trouble is that several teams (in this case, the Bucks) don't want to lose '11 cap space.

I don't dislike Nocioni that much. I just hate how inconsistent he is offensively. His defense and tenacity is always going to be there which is why I respect him, but his offense is like the stock market. With that said there's better trades out there the Boston trade wasn't that bad. I don't know since he missed those free throws his new name for me is NOCI BUMMY. Because that was bum material against NO

Re: Nocioni trade thread
Possibilities
Boston for...well...basically anything they want to give us. Likely something like Scalabrine/T. Allen
Charlotte for Mohammed - Honestly, if anybody doesn't do this, it's Charlotte with the way Mohammed is playing right now. He'd be kind of ideal for us.
Chicago for James - They do need the outside shooting, but I have a hard time seeing them take on that extra salary.
Cleveland - Hard to find the matching salary that they'd be willing to trade.
Denver - Same as with Cleveland. They could really use him, they just don't have the necessary movable salaries.
Detroit - for Kwame (could be waived and returned) and Wilcox. Probably not likely, as they need Kwame's size around, and it doesn't really fill any needs for them.
GSW - for expirings. He could be a good starting center in Nellie's system.
Houston - Could maybe use him, but unless Andersen is in the deal (seems unlike they would trade their only player with center size, but maybe), it would have to be a 4 for 1, which wouldn't work.
LAC - for expirings of their choice. They could probably use him. It's just a matter if they think it's worth taking on the salary. They probably don't.
LAL - Could probably find a place there, but realistically not worth it. They don't need to take a next step in any way.
Memphis - Not exactly what they need (a backup 2/3, Noc is a 3/4), but could definitely provide some needed help for them. And they might have the capspace to absorb enough salary to where Noc for Hunter/Williams could work.
Miami - They really have the cap space to where they could add on his salary next year and still have enough cap space to offer two max contracts, but it just doesn't seem like they really need him at all.
New Jersey - They're not going to have the space for two max contracts. But I believe (but I could be wrong) that they could have space to add Noc and their likely very high draft pick next year, and still be able to offer one max contract. And lord knows they could use some semblance of outside shooting.
New Orleans - Something could likely be worked out here to get them out from under the tax this year. We'd have to take on salary next year, but if we could clear a year off of Noc's deal, it would be worth it.
New York - For Jeffries - Doesn't mess with their '10 capspace (although it would mess with their impending '11 cap space), and gives them a talent upgrade. For us, it shaves a year off of Noc's deal.
Toronto - There's a valid argument that there aren't the available minutes for Noc there, but if they decide there are, the teams would be good trading partners--something like Noc for Wright/Banks.
Utah - It would likely have to be something centered around Noc/Kenny for Kirilenko, which I might do.
So there are some possibilities. I don't see many more than those.

Re: Nocioni trade thread
From MInny:
cardinal (exp)
hollins
for
Nocioni
May(exp)
2nd
hollins is a very cheap back up that could play 10 minutes a night. Cardinal is a decent sized exp contract. The 2nd round pick is added compensation for taking Nocs long contract.
Minny gets an upgrade at the 3 and a shooter to spread the floor for Jefferson and love.

i like the possibility of getting gerald wallace back, but that would mean to take on like 3 more mil of salary with the same length of contract.

That, and it's not a possibility because there's no way in hell Charlotte would do it.

Re: Nocioni trade thread
Noc + KT for Kirilinko? it would mean that we'll be looking at '11 FA class instead of '10.
I don't think we can get an expiring for Noc, maybe a useless 2 year mid sized contract, or we wait for him to raise his stock.

Re: Nocioni trade thread
1 Trade i would be all for is the Beno is playing alot better i would be willing to deal
Beno , Nociani & k9 for Tracy Mcgrady's 23 million expiring this doesnt affect our teams core that much we dont even need to play TMac as he is injured if we dont want this frees up more minutes for Sergion behind Evans . We rid ourselves of Beno's bad contract at the same time get rid of a problem in NOC & clear our overload of Small forwards.
K9 would be reuinted with Adelman & be a good role player in houston as well as he would go back to houston were he was drafted & played for once before
Keep in mind houstin will not resign Tmac & he is causing Adelman way to many problems & i think Houston will dump Tmac anyways
This deal i believe would not hurt us much this year & greatly help us rid bad contracts & players that disrupt minutes for others who need further playing time to grow & it would give us a huge ammount more cap space for next year & possibly 2011 !

Re: Nocioni trade thread
The Rox COULD just let T Mac expire and have some nice change for 2010 OR they could waste it on Nocioni and Beno? Highly doubtful.

Among people on a message board? Yes.
Among GM's? Very, very doubtful.
