New Wolves personnel boss David Kahn doesn't give many hints to nosy scribes, especially considering he's a former sportswriter, but more than one team we've consulted continues to believe that Sessions -- if you allow us to employ the proper GM-speak -- was signed by Minnesota with the intent to "flip" him.

I do wonder if it's too soon for such flipping, since Minnesota can't even try to convince Ricky Rubio to come to the States before the 2011-12 season because of Rubio's new contract with perennial Spanish club power Barcelona. It's also unclear what sort of market Sessions could generate after a slow start with the Wolves and when he's just one season into a four-year, $16.4 million deal.

Yet I've also heard a couple of GMs say they do expect Sessions to be made available and that his contract is not so prohibitive. We'll see.

I hope not, he's a beast off the bench for us and I wish that he could start over Flynn most nights right now.

Flynn should be the one that is traded. Flynn may be flashier than Sessions, but Sessions is clearly a much better PG.

^ no.....not yet anyway. Flynn had been getting his assists up the last few games and looks better, just forces too much. He'll learn and be a beast.

I'm not saying I want to trade Flynn because I really like what I've seen from him so far. But if they decide on trading one of the two, I don't see how you choose Sessions. He looked fantastic tonight and has been all season, just hasn't had any minutes.

Flynn in 3 years will be a total beast. Sessions just has that experience on him playing nbdl/bucks. More reps. Flynn has a much higher upside and work ethic to reach it.

I like sessions though, pretty solid player, I want to keep him on this team. Good player.

It's all speculation really. Espn have based that story on the opinions of a couple of GMs not named David Kahn. IMO Kahn would trade anyone on the roster if the right deal came along.

I don't believe the only motivation for the Sessions signing was to "flip" him. Having an insurance policy for Flynn had to also play into it. Given that when Sessions gets minutes, he's almost always teamed with Jawai, Pavlovic, Wilkens, etc, it's not a surprise that he's had a "slow start."

I wouldn't be surprised if Sessions gets moved, but it seems to me that it would make more sense around draft time.

I could see that. Although I could see him being a big piece in a deal (probably a multi teamer) for a veteran wing at the trade deadline as well.

I thought it was clear that I meant more than 2 teams, because our assets don't directly match up with a lot of trading partner needs.

LOL......we all make mistakes....but I like the "klompeth" part..

Sessions is obviously available, but I have a hard time thinking of a good deadline deal that fits with what we're trying to do. He's not good enough to be the main piece in a deal for a really good wing and I'm not interested in trading him for expirings and a late first.

From what Pacers games I've seen, Rush is a pretty solid defender (better than Brewer, I'd say). With that said, he appears to have zero confidence in his shot and seems very indecisive and out of control on the offensive side of the ball, again not too dissimilar to Brewer.

Would something based around Sessions for Rudy Fernandez work? Portland could use a young PG if the rumors of Miller's discontent are true, and Bayless hasn't panned out as they've hoped just yet. Also Blake sucks. Minny could use a 3pt sharpshooter and I could see him starting at SG for them, and the prospect of him and Ricky playing together in the future is enough to make one salivate.

The problem is, Blazers fans seem to think that Rudy holds absurdly high value from what I've seen on the trade board. Would Portland actually be willing to part with him?
