2009 Re-Draft

Post#1 » by Wade-A-Holic » Sat Dec 12, 2009 5:32 pm

Courtesy of the Dallas Morning News. This is from December 5th. Somehow I think the redraft would have changed even since then, and wow is some of it bad. If this was a rookie power ranking through that many weeks, fine, but if this is honestly how he would re-draft, wow.

Thanks, but I'll take Raji and Matthews over Delmas and Knighton (although I do like Delmas).

Edit: Even though I think this would be a stupid re-draft, I am happy to see I was right for liking Britton, Oher, and Collie more than most, although I'm sure there are also a bunch of guys I liked more than most who are rotting away and within a year from being out of the league. Oh, and Aaron Maybin sucks. I called that, too. 7th rounder Brad Jones >>>>>>>> Aaron Maybin

I like Rick Gosselin, but this is completely asinine.

I don't even know where to begin.

Even his top overall player. Cushing has been great, racking up the tackles and making some big plays. But the most valuable commodities in football are quarterbacks, those that protect the quarterbacks and those that get after the quarterbacks.

No way in hell would I take a strong side linebacker that high, and I doubt any GM either.

So basically this whole thing was thrown together as an excuse for the DMN to do some Cushing nuthugging.

I agree. Gosselin is usually pretty good, especially with his draft coverage. Like I said, if this was a rookie power ranking, fine, but a re-draft? Pathetic.
