And that should do it for Lovie Smith in Chicago.

I want Chris Williams off my team.
I want Frank Omiyale off my team.
I want Orlando Pace off my team.
I want the guy that drafted Chris Williams and signed Frank Omilyale and Orlando Pace off my team.
I want the guy that has the worst challenge record in the NFL off my team.

Then I'll find a team that cares about winning to root for next season because if the Bears don't fire Lovie, it proves that they care more about the money than winning.

Did Gaines Adams see the field today? Probably not. Great trade Angelo.

I wouldn't be as sure anymore.

When you're team is getting penalized this much and your challenge record is just crap, those are things you can directly point to the head coach for.

You go into next year with the same coach, you're basically telling Chicago you don't give a crap about the team.

For every mistake that Cutler makes, the Bears make 3 mistakes themselves. But the media will find someway to blame him for this loss despite the fact that the Bears had about 100 more penalty yards than the most penalized team in the NFL.

The running game, pass blocking, and the receivers need to get better to make Cutler more comfortable and not place everything on his shoulders.

He then may be force to create plays to make something happen.

We need a new O- coordinator, head coach and GM and build a good system and good players around Cutler.
A plea for post scoring is a plausible Bulls plan, but plainly isn't a priority. In response to a post player's dismay about his lack of points in the paint, Paxson said.... "I'm not nearly as concerned about the offensive stuff as he is."

This game was no different than any other game this year so far. Stupid penalties, stupid challenges, stupid turnovers, stupid defense. Because it's a stupid team.

And SW, were you really calling this game rigged in the GT? Seriously?

Obviously over-exaggeration but the refs were just awful in this game. Missed block in the back, missed pass interference (for like the 6th time this year), horrible call on Patrick Mannely who was table-topped by the Packers and he was called for unsportsmanlike conduct WHILE ON THE GROUND, horrible late hit call when the Packer player (Grant?) was tip-toeing out of bounds and the Bears player touched him and they threw the flag.

Thanks, BeP. I always think about the Beatles more around the anniversary of Lennon's death (29 years ago now!). Amusing video showing a day in the life of the crossing : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKCG3zMEsYs. I'm sure the locals looooove this.

I'm glad you mentioned this as I was just about to write about this. Cutler's going to have keep his yap shut next year as it's obviously affecting the pass interference calls. There's been some really blatant ones missed and, frankly, I think there's a connection between this and Cutler's constant berating of the refs.

SW, I know you've taken some heat. But realistic to some degree, every owner's first and foremost objective is to solely make money. It just happens to be that having wins usually generates the most $ and sense. If you were really cast blame, I say point the fingers at ourselves and homer like BEARS fans (amongst our other Chicago sports teams) for botching up this year and years' past.

Now back to the PG: IMO, Lovie's time has expired. If this bears teams fails to win another game, and I'm hoping this is not the case because it'll give those draft picks we gave away look costly, there will be drastic changes. If we brought in another defensive minded coach, to me, I'd start with Ron Rivera or maybe Mike Singletary (if he got fired, but I think he has his contract extended). Our team is very undisciplined on both sides, and its time to stop treating these fools like overpaid babies. It maybe a kids game, but they're grown @$$ men, and they need to know if you don't produce, you get kicked out. Next year's slogan should be "TO PUT UP OR SHUT UP AND DON'T GET PAID!"

IMHO, the next coach should rule with an IRON FIST. If players want to be casual about playing, fine, they can see their casual butts without any dollars in their wallets.

I think if the Bears are really committed to turning this thing around fast then Lovie needs to go as season's end, mainly because I highly doubt Kubiak lasts to next season in Houston, and if Hub Arkash's rumors about Bill Cowher are correct, the Bears need to jump on that as fast as they can.

Woah, look at that run-on sentence

Mike Shannahan or Bill Cowher would make me happy.

If nothing else, it'll get him off that joke of a pre-game show on CBS.

I think you'd need a sneeze-guard just to talk to the guy without getting soaked, though.

That being said, he's got to be better than Lovie. This team needs discipline. And a GM that can identify actual talent.
