Meet the up and down 2009-2010 Jazz
Dissapointing losses
At Home vs Rockets (no Yao, no TMac... they are doing a great job, but it's in our home!)
At Home vs Kings (they are doing impressive too... but they are only have won one game away... and we cannot lose those kind of games)
At Home vs Thunder (they are a surprinsing team, young roster, plenty of talent... but we can't lose vs them at home. I can understand a lose in their arena)
Away vs Timberwolves. (They have only won 3 games.... and it's disgusting when one of them are vs us)
Big Wins
At Home vs San Antonio
Away vs San Antonio
At home vs San Antonio (They are a difficult team for us, a nightmare and win them 3 in a row it's something fantastic. Altough they are weaker than expected they still are in 9 losses like us, and it's good that 3 of those are due us)
At Home vs Blazers (Now you can think that wasn't as great but at the time they were 12-6 and we 8-7. They are now messed up with different injuries, but they were suppose to be better than us)
At Home vs Magic. (they came with only 4 losses at our building, playing very strong)
At Home vs Lakers (They came with 3 losses... okay, Bryant was injuried... but he still is better than the average NBA player and they have a solid roster)

The Mavs game has to be right up next to the Kings home loss for most disappointing. Without question the win against SA in SA is the biggest win of the year by far.

I think LA was the biggest win. Yeah, we broke the streak in san antonio but lets be honest, we weren't playing a legitimate spurs team that night.

But we were playing a legitimate Lakers team last night? Kobe was sick with a broken finger, LA was playing on a back to back and it was a home game. How in the world is that better than ending the SA streak....

Re: Meet the up and down 2009-2010 Jazz
I think the inconsistency has to do with the lack of a defensive presence in the paint, the poor start of Boozer and the lack of a QUALITY offensive SG/SF.
The Jazz are an Evan Turner and defensive center away from being an elite team (if they keep Boozer).

Ya...Evan Turner is my dream pick for the Jazz. Even if the Knicks pick doesn't end up in the top 3-5 I hope the Jazz try to move up to take him.

We talk about Evan Turner, the guy that recently fell on a dunk untouched and broke his back, at the same time we talk about injuries plaguing the beginning of our season? Why is this guy a dream pick again?

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

I am going to get an Evan Turner+Jazz = greatness type sig soon. I think he is a top 3 prospect in this draft, and his injury might (hopefully) hurt his draft stock.

Just because he was the victim of a freak accident does not mean he is going to be injury prone....

I hope you're right, but it still would freak me out if we drafted him.

Re: Meet the up and down 2009-2010 Jazz
Oh I agree, it would freak me out too; I was extremely upset when I learned of his injury because I knew it would add that small risk factor to him. Any type of injury that makes you miss 8 or so weeks can never be good and may have long term implications.
I do however find it comforting that the word from most NBA GM's (according to draftexpress.com) is that the injury is not as serious as it sounds and will not negatively effect his abilities to play basketball or lower his draft stock.
